The ecological aspect played a major role in the renovation and predominantly old building materials and natural materials were used (natural stone, field roast stones, larch wood, wood fiber insulation, clay plaster with straw, clay paint with nature pieces). An alternative cottage in a quiet location for people who value ecology and sustainability and appreciate the charm of such a house. The space The house is designed for 2 people and has a total of 70 square meters of living space, a large living room, a kitchen-living room, a hallway, a bathroom (toilet, shower, bathtub, washing machine, dryer) and a bedroom upstairs. In addition to a modern wall and underfloor heating, a fireplace is available for cold days. The house is fully equipped (see amenities) and should leave nothing to be desired. Fast Wi-Fi is available in the entirety. Outside there is a small ornamental and utility garden, a covered veranda and a terrace with umbrella, garden chairs, loungers and table. Furthermore, there is a massively brick barbecue area incl. Barbecue supplies. In the warm season, a rainwater outdoor shower is in operation in the garden. Guest access The cottage including garden is rented for private use. Other things to note The "Alte Backes" (former bakery of the village) is part of the listed town center in the "Fachwerkdorf Mehren". Mehren is in the competition "Our village should be more beautiful! Our village has been awarded several times as one of the most beautiful in Rhineland-Palatinate and on the federal level.
