Cottage by the Harbor

This cottage is located in the heart of Dana Point, a beautiful and uncongested beach community! A 5 minute walk finds you at the nearby town center and new downtown area where you can find restaurants, nightclubs and shopping. Down the street is Dana Point Harbor/marina and the famous Doheny Beach surfing and park or get-away to Catalina Island or whale watching! The Cottage is a great pet friendly with enclosed front and rear yards, a great alternative to the over priced resorts. The space We are located in the historic lantern District, a short walk to the town center, Dana Point Harbor and countless dining, shopping and water activities, our location is half way between Los Angeles and San Diego. The cottage is the ideal space for a relaxing vacation. With a fully fenced front yard with lush tropical landscaping and a comfortable deck for lounging. The rear area is the fully covered patio area with large smart TV and fire feature, great for evening fun and outside dining and BBQing and is mfully fenced, this home offers the key essentials for ultimate tranquility. We are pet friendly withn are fully secure yards.. There are beds for up to 6 persons. The master bedroom has a queen size bed plus a large walk in closet. The second bedroom has two single beds that can be combined for one king sized bed. In the living room is a queen size pull out sofa bed. Recent upgrades include a brand new kitchen with Quartz counter tops and stainless steel appliances. New white cabinetry throughout the kitchen and extending into the full size laundry room. The spacious bathroom has a new quartz counter top vanity and oversized shower. Each room has its own smart TV plus high speed internet. Dana Point is a friendly premier beach community a short distance from the popular Laguna Beach art community and San Clemente historic community. Also close by is the well known town of San Juan Capistrano with its open to the public historic Mission. In the summer months you can jump on the trolley a half block away for free travel to all of these popular locations and more. Water activities are close by from Surfing at famous Doheny Beach or further down the coast to trestles and San Onofre beach. Inside the harbor you will find rentals for stand up boards, jet skis, sail boats to full sized yachts. Baby beach inside the harbor is a great place for the little ones with no waves and a large sandy beach. Ebikes are available for rent a short walk from the cottage. At the end of the street you will find a walking path with panoramic ocean and harbor views. Guest access The cottage is a full sized 1 story single family detached home. Guest's have access to everything inside the house, and are free to park in the 2 private and spacious parking spaces at the rear of the property which are reserved for our guests. There is even space for a medium sized RV! Also. plenty of free on street parking is available in front of the Cottage. Other things to note Helpful information for your visit can be found by searching Dana Point on the internet Visit this site for a list of restaurants and entertaining things to do, such as renting Kayaks, paddleboards, other watercraft. EBike rentals are available a block away. Go on a boat tour of the harbor, take a day trip to Catalina Island a couple of hours away. A must trip is to go whale watching, boats depart several times a day from Dana Point harbor! See the information binder for more information along with the internet access codes. With Dana Point's Annual Boat Show taking place in June, the Firework Extravaganza July 4th, the Tall Ships Festival in September and the boat parade at Christmas— There is no shortage of things to do in Dana Point! FYI items: Short term rental permit number is STR14-0227. Trash pick up is Monday morning. Please have trash containers in the alley facing the white line. Please return the containers when emptied. Street cleaning is every Wednesday .No parking is allowed on the street before 10am.
