The Lodge at Fern Rock is nestled on top of a mountain knoll on a picturesque 16-acre wooded private property. Multiple fire pits, a trail that meanders to a spring-fed pond, a wrap around west-facing porch, and close to the Pisgah National forest, Fern Rock Mountain Lodge offers a place to escape, unwind and enjoy nature. The Lodge is a 2200 sq foot rustic, yet elegant, log home that offers custom features inside and out. It sleeps up to ten guests in four private bedrooms. A separate living room provides a relaxing retreat, and a convenient first-floor bedroom ensures accessibility for all. Restful Nights: Upstairs, discover three more spacious bedrooms and a second full bathroom featuring an antique claw foot bathtub. With a king bed, bunk beds and a futon, a queen bed and a recliner, and another queen bed, the lodge comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests. Outdoor Oasis: The Treetop Pavilion, a 320 square foot screened porch, invites you to savor the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Guest access Lodge Guest will have full access to the Lodge cabin, Tree Top Pavilion, private hot tub and fire pit. Guest will have shared access to the walking trails, Pond and Picnic area. Other things to note Important Notes: 1. The Lodge is built on a knoll and there are some steep areas. Being sure-footed is necessary for exploring the property. 2. The driveway is steep. All wheel drive vehicles are recommended in good weather and four-wheel drive in icy/snowy weather. Parking is also available at base of the driveway if needed (but the hike up would be steep!) 3. Children of all ages are very welcome but need adult supervision all times. Wide-spaced porch railings, some high elevations/steep areas, the pond, the hot tub, and gas log fireplace are potential hazards. Parents of young children need to be extra vigilant, especially for little ones (under 2 years old). 4. GPS may not provide accurate directions. Directions can be provided after your reservation is confirmed, but feel free to inquire before booking, if needed. 5. New High speed fiber internet available now.
