I'm happy to have guests and will do my best to make you comfortable and give you tips on fun places to visit and eat! Tucked away in a quiet friendly neighborhood, this home is surrounded by Live Oak trees but only steps from the funky happenings on Congress Street. Staying here you will be walking distance from fun spots such as Home Slice (the best pizza in Austin), Joe's Coffee (fantastic people watching), Hotel San Jose (one of my favorite spots for an evening glass of wine), Lucy in the Sky (you can never have too many costumes!), the Continental Club and more. It is conveniently located close to downtown as well as East 6th St. (the Williamsburg of Austin) with all the cool new bars and restaurants. You can easily walk to Stacy Pool - the neighborhood outdoor pool (free and open year round, heated in the winter). The pool is located within Big Stacy Park which has beautiful walking path along Blunn Creek. Built in the 1970s and recently renovated it is a blend of vintage design and modern comfort. The house is furnished with a mix of vintage and contemporary furniture and art that I have collected over the years. Art installations and arrangements in unexpected spots will bring a smile to your face. It is a great spot for relaxing and unwinding with trees all around. Perfect for food lovers, the kitchen is equipt with stainless steel appliances and everything you need to create an amazing meal: Cuisinart Food Processor, KitchenAid Mixer, great knives, and even an ice cream maker! You can have your meals al fresco on the deck under the trees to really appreciate this amazing spot. Guest access You will have access to the whole house- kitchen , sunny deck, cozy living room and a washer and dryer. During your stay I'm happy to give you pointers about the neighborhood, suggestions for places to eat and go out! I love meeting new people and look forward to helping you find your favorite spots.
