Cristine's Cozy Cabin and Vintage Camper in Woods
Go back to a simpler time with a visit to this quaint 1950s country farmhouse! Relax on the patio that overlooks picturesque Volcan Mountain, listen to the crickets serenading you at night, or snooze under the shade of the oak trees during the day. This newly renovated 600 sq ft home is perfect for a romantic get-a-away, or if more room is needed, a 1969 Streamline “Princess” cowboy camper with one full and one twin bed can be used for the kids or visiting friends. 1-1/2 miles from downtown! In the main house, there is a queen size bed in the master bedroom with A/C in the summer, a twin over full bunk bed in the 2nd bedroom, reliable WiFi, and smartTV with FireTV, Netflix, Prime Video and Hulu. A modern country kitchen comes fully stocked with healthy snacks, juice, and beverages as well as a new microwave, toaster, retro gas stove, and large refrigerator. For those who need to fully relax, a large 7-foot tub in the bathroom offers a tranquil spa-like experience complete with hand-made aromatherapy soap and bath crystals. There is also plenty of onsite parking on a private drive-through street. So, I'll supply the lawn chairs under the countless stars at night, if you supply the wine from one of the many local wineries. Julian is less than an hour from San Diego, so what are you waiting for? Please note: During the winter months, January through March 2020, the camper will not be available for sleeping. If you are bringing a furry friend, please limit them to the main house and prior permission by owner is needed for all our four pawed friends! My on-site manager, who lives two doors down, will be available to answer all of your questions and introduce you to the many sites and activities in and around Julian. For those who are more adventurous, take the short one-and-half mile drive to downtown Julian with its succulent apple pie, 1870s goldmine, and numerous scenic hiking and biking trails. The cabin is in the "Whispering Pines" neighborhood, which is a short distance from downtown Julian. There are plenty of scenic walks around the neighborhood, including a lookout point to the desert and Salton Sea. Just ask Cristine for maps of the neighborhoods once you book! San Diego County requires a lodging tax, which normally the guest pays at a rate of 8%. However, the Airbnb price includes this lodging tax, which is paid by the owner on a quarterly basis.
