Description
Step into a piece of St. Louis history. The Adler Suite is a beautifully appointed one-bedroom in a classic Central West End building at McPherson and Euclid — one of the city's most walkable corners, surrounded by restaurants, coffee houses, and Forest Park. Weekly housekeeping included. The space The Adler Suite lives inside the Cambridge, a historic Central West End building named for a former owner, Paul Adler. You'll find an eat-in kitchen fully stocked for meal prep, a queen bed with soft linens, and an original clawfoot bathtub (with shower option) that's worth the visit on its own. High-speed dedicated internet and a smart TV with local antenna channels keep you connected. There's no TV in the bedroom — just quiet. We stock the apartment before your arrival with welcome teas and treats, freshly roasted coffee, and light breakfast items. You'll also find complimentary toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips) and cleaning supplies. Please note that we do not replenish these during your stay. Yes, there is an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, luggage racks, plenty of hangers, and much more. A laundromat is available in the building's upper lobby. GOOD TO KNOW The Adler Suite has smart lock keyless entry — no keys to worry about, pick up, or return. The apartment is on the first floor, accessible by a half flight of stairs from the lobby. The Adler faces the back of the building on an alley, next door to a popular bar. You may hear bar noise or early-morning trash pickup. We keep earplugs in the medicine cabinet and white noise machines in the bedroom and living room. No pets. No smoking anywhere on the premises. PARKING Free on-street parking is available in front of the building. The Central West End's restaurants and bars make it a destination neighborhood, so spots can be harder to find on evenings and weekends. You may need to circle the block, but most guests don't report much trouble. LOCATION Walk to Forest Park, Washington University Medical Center and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, three supermarkets, and Metrolink (the regional rail system). Historic architecture, locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, and one-of-a-kind shopping are all at your doorstep. Guest access The apartment is all yours! There is a shared laundry room in the upper lobby and shared hallways with other guests and residents. Other things to note The Adler Suite has window-unit air conditioning, typically installed from April through mid-November. Need AC outside that window? Just ask — we'll do our best. Winter heat comes from the building's original steam radiators, fed by a central boiler that runs three to six times daily depending on the forecast. The radiators may clank when the boiler kicks on — it's the soundtrack of a historic building. IS IT SAFE? Since we are in the heart of the city, we occasionally get this question. Co-owners Rachel and Karen live within walking distance of every SF Shannon apartment. They and their spouses raised their kids in the city and have always felt safe and at home here.
