Quiet Cottage

An inviting light and clean studio cottage getaway in the heart of the upper westside; easy access to the university, mountain biking, ocean and trees. The space Clean and well-appointed cottage nestled in our lovely backyard, away from street noise. This studio has everything you would need for a weekend getaway, post-doc short-term residence, or sabbatical. The cottage sits about 50 feet from our house. The backyard is a shared space where you may hear my children playing. In the main room there is a queen-sized memory-foam bed, a large closet, small sitting nook and, a desk. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is sunny and bright. There are two dining areas; both inside and through the french doors onto the private patio. The bathroom is clean and has a shower stall. All linens and towels are provided. You will find our property situated on the upper westside of Santa Cruz. We are close to beautiful parks and all of the things that makes Santa Cruz special; surfing, biking, yoga, the weekly Farmers Market (Saturday & Wednesday), breweries, and great restaurants. We are also very close to the University. Children are welcome. Additionally, we do have comfortable twin mats for older children. We are a family of three which includes my two young sons. We also have a small dog, Ringo, who strolls around in the backyard. He is very friendly and quiet. I come from Big Sur and have traveled extensively and know what it means to land in a quiet, clean and well-thought out living space. This is not a party house. Guest access The cottage has it's own entrance via a pathway from the front driveway. Other things to note While the the cottage is located in our backyard, there is a secluded and private patio on the back side of the cottage. We have two young children who make use of the outdoor play area so there might be the occasional sounds of play. They are very friendly and like to say hello to guests. They enjoy running a "hotel." We have a small dog, named Ringo. He is not a barker.
