The Globe Hotel was founded by our exponentially great grandparents in 1874. So many years later we are returning to our roots and inviting you to stay in our historic home with a private shoreline on Lake Michigan in the middle of Baileys Harbor. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places. The private south "wing" is just for you. There is a spacious kitchen and a front living room with a full sofa sleeper. Up a flight of stairs you will find two bedrooms and an updated bathroom. In just a matter of steps you can walk from your front door to all that Baileys Harbor offers. There is the Ridges Nature Preserve and two public beaches. You can dock your boat at the Baileys Harbor Marina or take a Shoreline Cruises tour of Lake Michigan. There are kayak rentals and fishing expeditions to book. Coffee at the Bearded Heart and craft beer and live music at the Door County Brewing Co. are to be savored. Dining is a must at the growing list of restaurants. Fine furniture, clothing and crafts are among shopping options. Locally grown produce, artisan creations, food and entertainment are found at the Sunday Farmer's Market. Venture outside of centrally located Baileys Harbor (if you must) and all of Door County is ready and waiting. Or, you can just step outside your private back door to a private yard and shoreline on close to an acre of land and forget that you are in the middle of anything and just be!
