Or use the telescope or binoculars for stargazing or birdwatching. Experience the 'watermelon' sunset hues, while grilling and dining on the outdoor patio. Spend time on the swing with your children/grandchildren (when they are not enjoying the nearby playground and park). Or just relax with a margarita or cerveza. You will be 5 minutes from the Sandia Peak Tram, and 10 minutes from the Sandia Resort & Casino (golf, dining, gambling, dancing, entertainment). The Tram is easy access to the 'back side' of Sandia Peak, for winter skiing and summer mountain biking. Sandia Heights is an epicenter for 'outdoor' living. Ample library of maps and guide books furnished for your use. Decorated in local color and Native art, this is a perfect spot for creativity, writing, or just relaxing with family. Since all our guests stay for one week minimum, and some a couple months— meet them in beginning to Make sure they can optimize all the amenities. And answer questions about the area and make recommendations for shopping, restaurants, hiking, bike trails, etc. Always respond to texts within a couple minutes. Very quiet. Only 1 neighbor to the north. Borders on an arroyo to the east, and large, open space to the south--where deer and other wildlife gather in the trees. You need vehicle to navigate Albuquerque. But you could easily ride a bike or even walk to a few restaurants or shopping from the property. When this very unique property came up for sale, we jumped on opportunity (literally day before Phil deployed for Afghanistan). We wanted a single level, smaller, and cozier home for our special needs sister who resides with us (if ever needed in the future). But with smaller properties, it is so rare to have these million dollar views! It is a corner property, surrounded by natural and mature landscaping on 3 sides. Purchased from original owners who maintained and updated property well. We have enjoyed customizing it with original and hand-made Southwest furniture and artwork.
