Come, relax and explore our Pacific Wonderland! Discover historic Astoria to the east and famed Ft Stevens State Park to the west; or just cuddle up with a cup of coffee and enjoy the parade of maritime traffic from the comfortable living room sofa! Please note that the home is not accessible for visitors with mobility issues as there are many stairs. The space Our 2-story home is situated at the mouth of the Columbia River, with historic Astoria to the east and Ft Stevens State Park just to the west. This is our family's frequent escape, well suited to maximize comfort, relaxation, and rejuvenation while having easy access to the scenic beauties of the North Coast, truly Pacific Wonderland The cathedral ceiling living room has full views of the Columbia River estuary which spans four miles to Washington's Long Beach Peninsula. The Columbia River's narrow shipping channel is situated immediately in front of the house offering an never-ending parade of maritime traffic; enjoyable from the front yard Adirondack chairs or from the cozy comfort of the living room sofa. A 2-story living room opens up to kitchen and dining room areas with panoramic views of the Columbia River. A 75” HD SmartTV sits above a gas fireplace and flanks the large living room window. Entertainment options include Home Theater with HD You Tube streaming TV including premium channels, Wi-Fi internet, Sony Blu-ray DVD with Netflix, HBO, Hulu and AirPlay to wirelessly stream your music. A well-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and cooking implements, makes staying in and cooking a real pleasure. A powder room is conveniently situated off the main living room area. Upstairs are three tastefully decorated bedrooms each with a comfortable queen bed and TV. Master bedroom en suite has a walk in closet, comfortable lounge chair and commanding views. In addition to the three bedrooms, there is a queen size fold-out bed in the living room's sectional sofa. The home is stocked with some of our favorite books & movies, feel free to enjoy while relaxing; or planning day trips up and down the coast. In the back of the house is a fenced in yard, with a propane grill and umbrellad table & seating on the back deck. In the front yard are four Adirondack chairs surrounding an open wood fire pit, 4 more on the upper deck around the propane fire pit. No s’mores there , please. The garage has a pool table, a foosball table, heat, AC and 65” TV for your enjoyment. We love to welcome and share our home with respectful guests who want to relax and explore our Pacific Wonderland with their family, friends and loved ones. Over the last 8 years, it’s been our pleasure to welcome guests to our home for comfortable lodging in the heart of beautiful Hammond / Warrenton and Astoria area. Enjoy the area! So much rich history here! Other things to note 4 adult bikes (with helmets & shared lock) are available for adventures, well-suited for exploring Ft. Stevens State Park or the paved Warrenton Waterfront Trail, accessible from Enterprise St. just a few blocks east of the house. Our home is situated on the Columbia River Estuary. There is no immediate beach access in front of the house. The shoreline is defined by bouldered riprap, and even at low tide with beach exposed, accessing the river from the bank is not advised. On the other hand, Ft Stevens State Park boasts having the most beach front of any US State Park and is a little more than a mile from the house. We also enjoy using a small public beach we call "dog beach" just east of Hammond Marina, a few minutes walk from the house, just north of St Francis De Sales Mission.
