This classic Fire Island Beach House is conveniently situated approx 600 ft from the beach and a short walk to town with all that Ocean Beach has to offer, including restaurants, pubs, shops, ferries, parks, places of worship, food markets, post office, medical, Police Dept., and much much more. Guests will feel very secure in this established, beautiful and lively community. This classic Fire Island beach home boasts a delightful and unique fully covered eight foot wide wrap around porch, making this home more functional and enjoyable, rain or shine! Whether socializing with family and friends or simply relaxing in a cozy chair listening to the ocean surf in the distance, you will find this porch to be a bonus to your vacation. Double French doors open to a spacious living area complimented with a soapstone wood burning stove and multiple windows that invite fresh sea breezes and filtered sunlight. Upstairs, there are three cheerful and spacious sun filled bedrooms, each with a large, double dormer window and air conditioning. All of the rooms have vaulted ceilings, making them bright, airy, and especially charming. Also located on the second floor is a large, windowed bathroom, with a clawfoot tub and a generous linen closet. The remaining 4th bedroom is tucked away downstairs on the first floor in its own space with a full bathroom, washer/dryer laundry area and private outside entrance off the porch, which can be used if desired,but not necessary since it is accessible from inside first floor; perfect for those traveling with a nanny or simply someone that just needs "their own space". In short, this area can be as open or private as desired. The kitchen is adjacent to and open to the living area, lending itself to a flexible open floor plan that is perfect for socializing without compromise to the privacy and peace of the rest of the living space. Off the kitchen, there is a sliding glass door that leads to a private back deck, complete with BBQ grill, patio furniture, and sun lounges. The rear deck area is nicely arranged in that it is partially covered; ideal for those that may want to relax outside but not necessarily in direct sun. Of course there is ample space for those that want to work on their tan too! Guests will also enjoy the very popular Fire Island "outdoor shower" located on the rear deck where guests can soak in the beautiful natural setting while lathering up after a day at the beach! Guests will enjoy use of the whole house! I am reachable by phone or text at all times to address any concerns. Ocean Beach, a beautiful community and the heart and soul of Fire Island…a barrier island 32-miles long and a quarter mile wide just south and parallel to Long Island. It’s perfect for all ages. Both singles and families. It’s unique character is in its varied restaurants, treasure-laden shops and home-spun galleries. Ocean Beach combines the allure of a resort with a casual atmosphere and the safety of a lost age. Once you arrive in the Village of Ocean Beach, settle in for a casual and relaxing visit. Bordered by the bay and ocean, the town is car free. Getting around means walking or biking to small shops, galleries, restaurants, ice cream parlors, a movie house and the beaches. Gather on the wide quay at sunset, listen to weekly open air concerts, see children sell painted seashells and visit craft fairs showcasing local talent. Hotels and inns are available for weekends or vacations. Stress-free, it’s the place for fun, friendliness and festivity. Ocean Beach is just an hour from Manhattan and a half-hour ferry ride from Bay Shore across the Great South Bay. Frequent ferries are available for after work getaways, day visitors, vacationers, weekenders and homeowners. From early spring to late fall, jitneys, taxis and the LIRR provide service to and from New York, the airports and Bay Shore. Water taxis provide quick access to other Fire Island communities. A minimum of 4 Bicycles, 1 wagon, 4 beach chairs and 1 umbrella will be provided for guests use and enjoyment during their stay at no extra charge. Please note that all recreational items must be returned free of damage upon checkout. Guests are reminded that they are responsible for the replacement of any lost stolen or damaged items. COVID-19 Cancellation Policy: Dear Guests, These days, the question of the day is "what is your policy if we need to cancel due to Covid related circumstances"? As an added courtesy to my guests, My policy relating to Covid is as follows and is specific to my property in Ocean Beach, NY. I am willing to allow cancellations with no penalty if all of the following conditions apply or are scheduled to apply on the date of a guest scheduled arrival or dates of stay due to Covid . They are as follows: No ferry service to Ocean Beach NY, Restaurants and Bars are ordered closed for dining and take out, Beach Area in Ocean Beach ordered closed. Anything outside of the above conditions will result in the standard cancellation policy being enforced. I hope this provides some clarity and peace of mind on this matter. PRICING- Please note that advertised prices are based on a Monday-Sunday booking. Any other booking requests that meet the minimum night stay policy may be subject to a custom quote by the host in order to accommodate the guest . Thank you
