Coastal Farmhouse- Stars, Spa and Birdsong

We're excited to share our favourite place with others. Nestled in a beautiful, coastal valley, our rough diamond, 3 bedroom original valley farmhouse is the perfect place to get out of the city. Just an hour 20 from Auckland, escape to a a huge wrap around deck to enjoy views of the East Coast. If you are into BBQ, the cleanest air in the world and a goodl old fashioned spa pool this is the spot for you. If you're looking for bliss and birdsong, this is your place. Perfect for families to set kids wild, free range. The house has 2 double bedrooms and the third is bunk bed with small double bed. Recently refurbed kitchen has all you'll need- a small microwave, big oven and FP dishwashing draws. You don't need to worry about cutlery or utensils and we have crockery for 10 along with a 2 metre outdoor table which seats 8 people comfortably. There is a fridge, new F&P washer and dryer. There's a Smart TV which you can access Sky TV, movies, wireless broadband so you can log into your Netflix. A 3 meter golf cage is available for anybody wanting to practice their golf swing before heading up to one of many courses close by- From the magnificent Tara Iti, Omaha, Wellsford and Manghawhai- all about 27 to 30 minutes away. Goat Island snorkelling and the Leigh Saw Mill make a fantastic day trip. It's a 10 to 13-minute drive to the public beach for Pakiri. There is NO direct access to the water close to the property. It's also important to note that this is not a valley close to amenities. The closest place to grab an emergency supply of milk or bread is the Pakiri Beach Motor Camp. Matakana or Wellsford are both at least 15 minutes drive. The road to and from becomes a shingle road with more than a few curves and bends. It's important to reiterate this is a is an old, quirky 80 year plus property smack in the middle of bird life, bug life and in the heart of the country. So if flying things or rustling at night bothers you, this might not be your cup of tea. There's a large platform that can accomodate tents but please get in touch to arrange a PP price to cover tank water etc. No pets policy due to the wildlife.
