Amid hillside olive groves and chestnut woods, enjoy panoramic views of the Arno valley at the historic country house Morniano, 20 km south of Florence. Built of stone and ancient ceiling timbers, the house contains a lovely rental apartment. It contains a large kitchen with a fireplace, a bedroom with a double bed, a livingroom and a bath. Facing south, it is beautifully furnished with antique country furniture. The space The apartment was renovated 9 years ago but retains its historical characteristics. The foundation of the house was built in the 12th century. The building was enlarged in the 17th century and completed in 1658. Historically, Morniano was a place that offered hospitality for pilgrims on their way to Rome. A holiday in Morniano means a direct contact with nature and at the same time the possibility to reach easily the most important artistic and historical sites of Tuscany. For the ones that love shopping: Morniano is just 5 km away from the outlets of Gucci, Fendi, Armani, Prada, Dolce e Gabbana!!! Guest access You access in the apartment by passing through a covered terrace furnished with a table and chairs so you can also enjoy your meals in the middle of the Tuscan countryside. Fom the terrace you enter a big kitchen with a fireplace, perfectly furnished and equipped in order to assure a most comfortable stay (coffee makers, both Italian and American type). A stair leads up to the first floor where there is a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a comfortable living room with two sofas. All rooms have central heating. The apartment is furnished with satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.
