Description

Private Suite on top floor of home, 1,000 feet above sea level in San Elijo Hills with Scenic Views of Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Non smokers only. $45/night The space Spacious, clean and quiet Private Suite w/ full bath, shower & large closet, queen bed and soft pillow-top mattress, desk, table, 2 chairs, dresser, ceiling fan, floor fan, space heater and room-darkening curtains. Non smokers only. Bath towels and bedding will be provided. Includes a 4.3 cubic foot mini refrigerator and a 1 cubic foot separate freezer. Both wired and wireless high-speed internet service also available. Bedroom measures around 14' x 13' and bath around 5' x 9.5'. There is a 32" LED TV, with digital antenna channels, internet connection and a Blu-ray/DVD player. There is an HDMI cable that you can attach to your laptop to view your streaming services on the TV. The room is furnished with a luggage rack, wooden clothes hangers, a wooden tray and a butler's tray containing one set each of dinnerware, glassware, stainless flatware and dinner napkin for each person, as well as a glass water bottle and kitchen towel. Guests are asked to leave outdoor footwear by the front door and use only clean indoor footwear. Guest access Kitchen and Back Patio: Spacious Kitchen with filtered water and freshly brewed dark-roast coffee available by 6 am. You are welcome to use the stove, microwave, Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven, electric water kettle, Keurig machine (bring your choice of pods), 2.5 qt slow cooker, 8-cup rice cooker, 3-tier vegetable & fish steamer, grilled cheese/panini press, charcoal BBQ grill and a George Foreman domed electric grill - to prepare simple meals only. PLS only purchase perishables that will fit inside your own mini fridge. Let the host know if you need to use a vacuum cleaner, ironing board/iron or do laundry (High Efficiency detergent included). You are welcome to sit in the Back Patio anytime and enjoy scenic views. Practice your golf technique on our backyard putting green. Carlsbad beaches are about a 20-minute drive away. Please make sure to shake off all the sand from your clothes, footwear and towels, before getting into your vehicle and before entering the house. During your stay I work from home and am available to offer help during your stay. Other things to note San Diego is known for its near-perfect weather. The average year-round high temperature is 70ºF (21ºC). The annual rainfall is light, averaging only 9.45 inches (24 cm), the majority of which falls during the months of December, January and February. The air conditioning and heating are part of a central forced air system for the house (not for the Private Suite only) and is controlled by a thermostat. Please be resource-conscious regarding water and lights. San Diego is currently experiencing moderate drought. Please turn off all your lights in the bedroom and bathroom when leaving the rooms. Guests staying 2 months or longer will be provided with monthly bedroom and bathroom cleaning services for a fee of $50 per cleaning. Guests may not let anyone into our house without Host's prior knowledge and consent. "No Overnight Guest" refers to a person who is not part of a reservation. This listing has a Long-Term Stay Policy: Full refund up to 30 days before check-in. After that, the first 30 days of the stay are non-refundable. This is a room in a home shared with Host. Host will occasionally enter the room when guest is gone for the purpose of maintenance, cleaning, restocking, adjusting windows for weather conditions (heat, cold & rain), turn off lights & fan left on, etc. Please treat our home like your own: Cleanliness: Guest should not leave the listing in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (moldy shower curtains and dishes, soiled carpets, stains on bedding and towels, etc.). Cleaning fees set by Host are only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning. Litter: Guests should put their trash in designated trash receptacles and be mindful of excessive amounts of trash. Damage: Where Guest causes damage, Guest is expected to inform Host of the damage as soon as possible and work with the Host to find a reasonable solution. Guest is expected to pay reasonable requests for reimbursement if they’re responsible for damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning costs.
