Description
Lovingly restored one bedroom apartment. Heart pine floors, plaster walls and original windows give apartment loads of charm. Deck looks over garden with fruit trees, flowers, butterflies and chickens. Located on quiet street. Short walk to vibrant, historic Downtown Melbourne. We're also close to Florida Tech and Holmes Regional Medical Center. The space Our home was built in 1926 and has a comfortable, old Florida feel. It was built as a triplex with two upstairs apartments. We are only the third owners to live downstairs, but there have been many renters in the apartments. According to one sensitive tenant, a friendly ghost named Sally still visits upstairs. There have been many house projects in the 30 years we've lived here. Electric and plumbing are new. Air conditioning, heat and solar have been added. We've removed past "improvements" like panelling, wall-to-wall shag carpeting and aluminum siding but have kept as much of what is original as possible. Guest access Guests have access to a shared laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. No quarters needed. The back deck is shared with a second upstairs apartment. Other things to note There is a second upstairs apartment that is also rented out through Airbnb. The back doors from both apartments lead to a common deck. Each apartment has a table, chairs and a nice view of the garden below. Say hello to your neighbors. They’re very nice.
