Our Sunset Eco Cabin is an 8' x 20' shipping container that was renovated into a tiny home. It has a Queen bed, bathroom with shower and hotel-style kitchenette with coffee pot, microwave and mini-fridge. Sliding glass doors allow natural light to flood the space and the front porch gives a great yet private view. Relax on the deck and watch the sun as it sets over the Appalachian Mountains. Guests must be able to walk up a small hill to access the cabin. The Sunset Eco Cabin is part of a 3.25-acre property. There is a large deck connected to the main building directly outside of our lobby. At night (weather permitting), we'll light up the fire pit, making it a perfect atmosphere for stargazing or making S'mores. There is also a gas grill and Big Green Egg (large) available for your use. There is a short (0.5 mile) trail around the property that is great for stretching your legs in the morning or after a long car ride! You will have access to all common areas on property. This includes the lobby, bar, back porch, porch swing, hiking trail, Big Green Egg and gas grill. Join us on the patio for Happy Hour, everyday from 5-7pm with drink deals for local Georgia craft beers and our selection of wine. Our front desk is staffed 7:30AM-9PM daily. We are happy to make recommendations for restaurants, wineries, or hiking trails in the area. If you don't see us, just call us! While we're secluded from the hustle and bustle, we're only a 10-minute drive from Downtown Dahlonega and all it has to offer. Guests of Barefoot Hills Hotel will find nature's tranquility and endless activities. Indulge in outdoor adventures, including hiking the Appalachian Trail and kayaking on the Chestatee River. Spend the day touring the vineyards in the heart of Georgia Wine Country - there are 9 within 10 miles of the property!
