Penrith also has the Rheged Centre, a visitor centre with craft, exhibitions, shops, cafe and cinema. The Chocolate Factory in Orton is sure to please chocolate lovers. The scenic Settle to Carlisle railway line is nearby. A round trip from Kirkby Stephen to Settle takes in the best of the dales scenery, including the iconic Ribblehead viaduct and gives time to explore Settle with its independent shops and cafes.
