This is a lovely cabin in the woods - sitting next to my home.( about 150 feet away) The area could be described as "rustic"- insofar as it IS the Oklahoma Osage Hills- 20 miles via a nice drive into Tulsa. Also about 45 minutes from Pawhuska, Oklahoma, home of the Osage Nation - and the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond. The view is overlooking the Osage Hills of Oklahoma. You can be as private as you want, or hike, drive to the lake, kayak. Peaceful and serene. Perfect for rural- loving folks. The space The cabin is one room, has a full kitchen, and a separate bathroom with shower and a small closet. It has one double bed and 2 comfy chairs. ( Ikea ) The road up to the cabin and my place is gravel, and relatively steep. Guests will need to walk about 100 feet to the cabin from their car. It is a short, level, lighted walk. At the time being, the cabin has no wifi, but you can get it at my place, or outside of the cabin. The view is lovely, and the quiet in the woods is peaceful. There are no neighbors around my place and the cabin. We live way up the hill, away from neighbors. I have one large, very friendly, dog and one cat. They are free roaming, but will not bother you. Please note: this is a cabin IN THE WOODS. If you are used to a neatly trimmed , tidy, insect free landscape environment, this space is NOT for you. Osage county is filled with wildflowers, tall natural grasses, and I keep it as natural as possible. There are occasional insects that get in the cabin in the summer. . I do not use harmful pesticides and insecticides. I keep wasps as controlled as possible, but they occasionally get around the cabin, as well as my house. I have fly swatters to use. Please-if you are menstruating, use something to protect my bedding from getting stained. I have had to buy new bedding twice - and the guests did not even tell me. I know this is a touchy topic, but please be considerate. If you stain the sheets or the bedding you will need to pay for new ones. Sorry to be so tough but I’ve gotten fooled twice by guests not telling me Guest access Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer at my house, walk and hike in the woods, and enjoy the surroundings Other things to note Remember, this is a rural setting- a space in the woods. Also, you must walk about 100 feet to the cabin from the drive. Also: IMPORTANT: I live in Osage county, in the Crosstimbers adjacent to the TallGrass Prairie. In the spring and early summer there are numerous beneficial forbes springing up- pollinators such as milk weed and butterfly plant. So- I let them grow in the sunny space in front of and around the cabin, rather than weedeating and keeping a close cropped landscape. I will weedeat later in summer. Enjoy! Please read the manual.
