Badger's Digs- Ski Trip!

Make like THE coolest member of the weasel family and "dig" into this fabulous cabin on the Wisconsin River! (Sorry UW alums, a badger is a weasel...fact.) Whether you’re looking for furnished cabin rentals for the whole family or a romantic weekend getaway, Badger Digs at Hookers Resort has the perfect answer! The space Badger Digs has exactly what you need - room for 6 and all the comforts of home without the stress of being home. Shhh...don't tell anyone you're here!! This loft style home has a master bedroom with comfy queen size bed and full bath on the first floor, with two full size beds and another full bathroom in the loft area. Sleeps 6 (2 per bed) if you don't mind burrowing down with another Badger! NOTE: The loft has two separate sleeping areas but they are not closed off from each other. The full kitchen features quartz countertops, Kraus sink and a full complement of stainless steel appliances to make cooking dinner (if you want to) easy. Master bedroom contains a washer and dryer that is available free of charge for guests staying 4 nights or longer. Shorter term guests (3 nights or less) are welcome to use the machines for an additional fee of $50. Please arrange this prior to booking. If you feel like cooking "au naturel" (as in cooking your food over fire NOT cooking in the buff!) you can channel your inner cave man with the gas grill set out on your private patio smack dab in front of the river. You're never gonna want to leave! Don't want to cook? Me neither!! Stroll on down to Hooker's Resort Bar and Grill next door for a great meal. If you're lucky, they might be featuring live music. Time to put on your dancing shoes! Ahh, forget the dancing shoes...it's time to relax, meet new friends and have fun on our new firepit/game area! This spot is shared with all 3 cabins and has a fire pit you can stare at for hours (or until you fall asleep) as well as 2 sets of cornhole boards during the warmer months! NOTE: Bring your own wood as this is one thing we don't supply! Feeling active? This is a great spot for all you kayakers! There's two, yes TWO public boat launches within walking distance as well as two public parks to enjoy. While swimming is NOT recommended at this point of the river, there is a nice small sand beach about 3 miles down the road as well as Silver Lake Beach in Portage about 15 minutes away. Are you a skier? We've got Cascade Mountain about 20 minutes away and Devil's Head at about 30 minutes away. Not to mention a bunch of cross country ski trails! Splish, splash! Take a day and cruise around the self proclaimed Water Park of the World. The Dells are only about 25 minutes away. Fun. But maybe you want to channel your inner badger and avoid all human contact. Us too!! We're in the middle of nowhere and if hiding out is how you feel, we have books for you to read as well as a couple smart TV's (internet only, no cable) and a dvd player to keep you amused. Plus a bonus area in the loft with a PS2 and a handful of games! Guest access You get run of the whole place. Other things to note We employ 100% contactless check in with a programmed key pad lock. Attention parents with small children!!! There is a set of stairs leading to the loft level in the home. There is not a child safety gate installed. Local law prohibits guests from bringing their dog (very sorry for this but you can't fight city hall!). Please do not sneak your pet in or you may find yourself with an extra $250 cleaning fee..or asked to leave. Have a pet? Fido can't stay here but he can at our other unit!
