This comfortable home is a sunny loft with lots of windows, original art, eleven-foot ceilings, and wood floors. It occupies the entire second floor of a two story historic building, and because the apartment and back porch are elevated, it is very private for city living. It's located within walking distance or a short drive to the best that St. Louis has to offer and is well set up and discounted for long term stays. Although the apartment has an open floor plan, half walls between the bedroom and the rest of the living space create some privacy for a loft. It's at tree top level and in the winter, the sunrises and sunsets are quite lovely. The covered back porch is right off the kitchen and faces east; perfect for morning coffee and cool evening drinks or dinner, shaded from the hot afternoon sun in the summer. In the kitchen you will find a welcome bottle of wine to start your vacation! The kitchen is fully equiped with coffee, tea, sugar and honey, a built-in water filter, plenty of pots, pans, and dishes, and spices in the pantry to make for longterm comfortable stays. There is a free standing closet and dresser in the bedroom. (The lowest drawer holds extra linens) Laundry facilities are available for long term stays. Street parking is free and convenient. You can usually find spaces in the front or side of the building. There is a large side yard and small courtyard in the back, providing a lot of green space for city living. We are located near a highway, however, when the windows are shut, the sound of it is very faint. We will send you Check-In instructions the morning of arrival, but here is a preview of what to expect. The lockbox on the door frame makes it easy for self check-in, and our manager, Isaiah lives close by if you need assistance. As you enter the building, there is a private staircase that leads up to the loft on the second floor. The back porch also has stairs that lead down to the courtyard, however, most people prefer the main entrance because the back stairs are narrow and curvy. *Please note you will see doors in the entranceway on either side of the stairs that are securely locked at all times for complete privacy. The downstairs neighbors have their own entrance. We, the rental manager, Isaiah, or Mary, the co-host can be reached by phone call, text, and Airbnb messaging. This house is located in charming, historic Soulard on the residential side, but within walking distance or a short drive to many restaurants and bars; one of the many reasons why Soulard is so famous. Soulard has long been considered one of St. Louis's most desirable neighborhoods and its close proximity to downtown and many other destinations make this a prime choice when considering where to stay in St. Louis. Vincent’s Market, a neighborhood grocery store is just one block away where you can purchase groceries, adult beverages, or other essentials for your stay.
