Description

- Far reaching views over St Ives Bay... - Two miles from the beach at Gwithian - Three thoughtfully renovated, attractive and comfortable properties - Situated on a 100-acre working farm - Undercover storage for bicycles and beachgear - Both stabling and grazing for horses are available The space Set at the end of a long farm drive and within easy reach of all the golden sands and surfing beaches in the vicinity, this is a very convenient base from which to explore mid and west Cornwall, well placed for family holidays. The area abounds with footpaths and bridleways through woodland, nature reserves, open countryside and Tehidy Country Park, and both golf, riding and a surf school are available locally. The South West Coastal Path offers glorious scenery, in particular the dramatic viewpoint at Hells Mouth half a mile away and Godrevy Point, 2 miles, overlooking the lighthouse on Godrevy Island. There are pubs offering food in the villages of Gwithian and Portreath, 2 miles respectively, and a good selection of shops and a supermarket in the town of Hayle about 3 miles away. St Ives is about a 20 minute drive with its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and home to the Tate Gallery. The old farmyard offers ample car parking, there is undercover storage for bicycles and beachgear, and both stabling and grazing for horses are available. Stay - The Accommodation... With inverted accommodation to take full advantage of the views over St Ives Bay, this interesting and double glazed barn conversion is the end one of three and entered from the parking area. Two steps lead up to the front door which opens to a quarry tiled lobby with an adjacent cloakroom W.C. and hand basin. To one side, a door leads into the master bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom W.C. with wash basin and hand shower fitment to the bath. From the hall, two steps lead down to a bright kitchen / dining room with a run of modern fitted units and a glazed door opening to a small terrace with views over rolling open countryside. Leading off the kitchen are two twin bedded rooms, one with distant views of Hells Mouth on the Atlantic Coast, and a shower room with hand basin. Wooden open tread stairs lead up from the entrance hall to the first floor and a spacious sitting room with a hip shaped ceiling, a laminate floor, leather seating and views across the bay towards St Ives from three Velux windows. There is a shared lawn and barbecue area, which has stock proof fencing separating it from the adjacent fields. Young children and the elderly will need to take care, as there are several changes of level. Don't forget... - This property welcomes one dog of any size. Pets information: £30 per pet per week taken after booking has been confirmed
