The Getaway is close to public lake access for swimming and launching your boat or fish house. Many nearby attractions include Bemidji State Park, restaurants, and the Bemidji Town & Country Club. Ruttger's Birchmont Lodge offers fun pay-for-service access to an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and gym equipment. This space is attached to a private shop that owners may access during your stay. - Basketball hoop - Campfire area available - The property has a tree fort; this is not part of the Airbnb experience during your stay for safety reasons. We will not be held accountable for the injuries of guests who do not heed this warning. - Several chickens are in a coop on the north side of the detached shop and garage (Shared Space). Please don't feel free to feed them vegetable scraps or grass, but we ask you not to enter their pen. Depending on the chicken's productivity, there may also be "farm-fresh" eggs in the refrigerator at the beginning of your stay. - While rare, we occasionally have animal "visitors" to the property. Please remember that you are in the Northwoods! Animals may include deer, raccoons, squirrels, bears, foxes, frogs, rabbits, mice, and birds. Guests will have access to the double, detached shop, and garage. With that said, property owners may periodically visit this space during a guest's stay to care for the chickens or quickly grab something we may need from the shop.
