Exactly 10 mins to Hanover/Norwich exit. Great views, great patio. We live here -- there is plenty of art, gardens, and a phenomenal kitchen. I love breakfast on the patio in summer, or the southern deck in spring/fall. Enjoy the often spectacular views. ONE queen-sized bed. ONE double-sized bed. This rental is for the main floor -- there is a small mother-in-law apartment below -- sharing the lower level with the garage. This is a house where you can really relax in near-luxury. The kitchen is to die for -- perfect for serious cooks, with 2 full-sized sinks and a cooking island, plus a covered area for outdoor grilling. The open design yields amazing views of the sunset AND the sunrise. The southern deck is great when the weather starts to turn. The covered area on the patio is always cool -- no matter how hot it is in summer. The fire pit extends the outdoor experience into the cooler nights. You might see deer grazing in the fields, wild turkeys cleaning up garden pests, hawks hunting for little critters, or a huge eagle flying right towards you. Though hot air balloons don't land in our field, the regularly float right by. The beds are all new. The linens are all new. We have it professionally cleaned before your visit. To be 100% clear, the master bedroom and bath are totally private, with a door that separates this suite from the main house. The guest room (office) is off the kitchen with french doors off the entry. You have full access to everything. Except the garage. (You will NOT have access to the little apartment on the ground floor, of course.) We have a place in Boston, and will usually be there (or farther) when we have short-term guests. When that is the case, I have a dedicated manager -- a close friend I totally trust. I am ALWAYS available via e-mail. Very rural, despite easy access to I91. You can see the neighbor's houses, but they are not close by any stretch of the word. Cedar Circle is a wonderful organic farm just at the bottom of the hill. Stellas has great croissant (just accross the river). Public Connective River access is about 3 miles to the north. You can often rent canoes and kayaks at Dartmouth. Plenty of hiking, biking, and cross-country trails. In Thetford proper (about 3 miles to the west), many many acres of maintained trails and swimming access points for the ompomp river. This is NOT a party house! If you are having a bachelor's party, or some other similar gathering, please don't rent our house. We ask that you keep the noise down after 10 pm -- as a courtesy to the tenant below, and for the valley in general. We ask you to take care not to leave windows open when it might rain. Don't put any dishes or utensils away -- we are happy to do that. ALSO, note that some photos need to be updated -- we have changed some furnishings and decor.
