Fully furnished apartment w/a desk, full kitchen & dining table. For parties larger than 2, there is a queen aerobed. In the heart of the historic International District-the vibrant Asian part of downtown, a great coffee shop, Chinese food, Poke w/Hawaiian shave ice, the best-ever boba & a vegetarian pizza parlor are basically all downstairs. The space This top floor apartment has old Seattle charm, with high vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls. The bedroom is blocked off by a shoji fan. There are a few quirks as one should expect from an old building like this (i.e. we use a cozy space heater for the living room as the central heating is loud and faulty, and sometimes you can smell cigarette smoke out in the hallways of the building because some of the other residents smoke in their units. We lived there for 2 years and LOVED it but you should know this is not some brand new condo with brand new appliances. This is a tastefully decorated inner city apartment that you can get to just about anywhere from very easily. The living room has a rust colored lounge sofa, a 60" tv with a bluetooth soundbar, a fully dedicated work space. There is a full bathroom and a full kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, and dining room table. It's really fun to watch the action on the street below from the three big windows in the living room. There are often parades and carnivals that come right up the street with dancing dragons and martial arts performances. Guest access The building and the entire apartment. There is a laundry and trash room down the hall and to the left. NOTE: There is a brand new washing machine in the cabinet of the bathroom! It's for small loads as needed and there is a clothes line in the hallway closet. Machines in the laundry room are big. They are coin or app operated. Laundry in the apartment is free and convenient :) Other things to note This is an old building in the Chinatown part of the ID. The cooks in the restaurants downstairs often come out to the sidewalk to smoke a cigarette, which is right by our front door. Also, you may smell in the hallways from time to time that other people smoke in the building. Our apartment has no odor what so ever- it's super fresh and clean! But if you have allergies to cigarette smoke, you may want to consider this before booking.
