Loose yourselves in the tranquility of the surroundings. A perfect place for a family or group of friends to relax together. Ruru is tastefully built in sustainably harvested native timbers and macrocarpa. It is snugly tucked on a stream confluence at the foot of Kahurangi National Park and enjoys a rich "dawn chorus" and "morepork" (native owl) song in the evenings. A great log fire warms you on cooler evenings and a streamside bush bath awaits you after your day walking, horse trekking or finishing the Heaphy Track. The local beach is only 300m down the road. Special conditions: Dishes expected to be washed and put away. The stream is unfenced and young children need supervision. Smoking allowed outside only. No Pets allowed. Be aware of ladders to lofts.
