Convenient to historic downtown Annapolis, Baltimore & Wash DC. We offer a cozy private basement flat with a private bedroom with a queen bed, and en suite bathroom. This space also has a private sitting area with a twin day bed with a trundle, a flat screen tv, a private refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There is not a full kitchen in this flat. Guests have access to the Garden Apartment by way of a stone path that leads to the backyard gate and the private entrance of the apartment. Guests have full access to the fully fenced in yard; however the backyard space will be shared with me and my family who live above the Garden Apartment and our 3 little pups. We let the guests determine the level of interaction, however we usually like to meet the guests to give them a walk through the space and answer any questions about the property and area. Our home is located in Edgewater Beach Community which is a water privileged neighborhood on the South River. Our neighborhood is very safe and our neighbors are very friendly. Many of the homes were summer cottages where DC families would come in the summer to vacation. Some of the original cottages are still intact, but some have been replaced with larger sometimes very large newer homes. We enjoy easy access to great markets, shopping and restaurants. We are 7 miles from USNA and downtown Annapolis. And approximately 30 miles to both Baltimore and DC. New Carrollton is the nearest train station (Metro) and is approx. 23 miles from Annapolis. The Metro is a DC train and can help to get around Northern Virginia and DC and the MD suburbs of DC. It can also connect you to the Marc train which goes to Baltimore and the Amtrak train which goes to Philadelphia and New York among many other destinations. The best way to access the Metro is Uber or taxi the best way to access an airport is the Super Shuttle (van service). Our single family home is in a water priveleged community a 5 minute walk to the South River. We offer one off street parking space with rental of the flat. Also, we are a pet friendly home, so your well behaved dogs and cats are welcome.
