Cabin in LaFayette

This is a true log cabin in the woods adjoining 9,000 acres of Chattahoochee National Forest. The home is on a small creek in a valley by Taylor's Ridge with private trails to the top of the mountain. There is a large stone fireplace in the den. Though it is a rustic setting we have great WIFI and streaming 4K HDR TV. We have space and facilities for dog and horse owners. Cloudland Canyon, Jarrod's Place Bike Park, Dalton, GA, and Chattanooga, TN are nearby and great day time destinations. The space Log cabin completely secluded on 30 private acres. and surrounded on 3 sides by the 9000 acre Chattahoochee National Forest. The property has private hiking trails that lead to National Forest trails. Horses and pets welcome. Close to Cloudland Canyon, Pigeon Mountain, and Keown Falls. Easy day trips to Chickamauga National Battle Field, Chattanooga, Dalton and Rome. Our driveway is the old road between LaFayette and Resaca. On May 7, 1864, around noon, General McPherson marched 25,000 calvary and more support troops down this driveway. During your visit try to imagine that procession of men, horses and materials. We have an area for horses but you must provide your own horse panels. Forested trails to ride horses on property. Seven miles from the Pinhoti horse and foot trail. Also several other horse trails in the area. Guest access Entire cabin. Also, please feel free to explore the 30 acres surrounding the cabin including the basketball court, the outdoor fire pit, the small creek, and the trails that lead to other trails. Please leave facilities set up as they are when you arrive. Other things to note We allow pets. We request that all pets be attended by owners at all times. Please pay for you pet using the airbnb pet selection when booking. Pet fee is $100.00 per reservation. Service animals are considered pets. While our property is secluded we are right on a state highway (S.R. 136 with road noise at times) only 15 min from downtown Lafayette, 20 min. from downtown Dalton, 20 min. to Chickamauga Battlefield, 25 min. to Jarrod's Place bike park, 30 min to Cloudland Canyon, 40 min to downtown Chattanooga and 10 minutes to the Pinhoti trail and Keown Falls.
