Beautiful lakefront cottage. Open loft with a king-sized bed, downstairs has a full-size futon. The king size bed is on the second floor, the bathroom is on the first floor with spiral staircase to go downstairs. The kitchen is stocked with cooking tools and dishes, vaulted ceiling with skylight windows and a balcony overlooking the lake. Access to our personal dock for swimming and boating. Convenient 15 min drive to downtown Olympia, WA. We do NOT allow parties to be hosted at the cottage. Beautiful skylight windows, gorgeous lake views, it is high bank property with direct access to the lake and personal dock. Access to the cottage is across the lawn and property is down hill from the parking area. The cottage is built into the hillside so both levels are accessible by ground level. The 'main entrance' is into the main bedroom loft level which features a kingsized bed connected by a spiral staircase. A large back porch gives guests stunning views of the lake including a section which is protected wildlife as there are several families of nesting bald eagles living there. Full cottage, kitchen stovetop, microwave, small convection oven able to handle baking, flat-screen TV with Apple TV and DVD player and access to Netflix, board games, books to read including a tiny lending library out in front of the main house. We also have a gas grill that is available for guests to use. Also an electric fireplace for ambiance. We'll meet you when you first get here to give you key code and show you the place then you'll be on your own. Our house is on the same lot but we won't interfere unless we're needed! The property is two miles to restaurants and grocery stores. We are 15 minutes to Watershed park a rainforest located within the city. We are also 15 minutes to the Olympia farmers market and the State Capitol which offers free tours. We are a couple miles away from a lovely lavender farm that is very showy in the early summer. There is a book in the cottage that lists other visitor options. Within one mile of Olympia Amtrak train station. Also on a bus line. Walking available in the neighborhood. This cottage is below us on the property and guests will have to walk up and down to the house across the lawn on a relatively steep hill. This cottage is not ADA accessible. There is a spiral staircase connecting the floors. The cottage is one mile from the Amtrak station, the train tracks run over the lake, so there is train noise. Additionally we’re located near Joint base Louis McChord (JBLM) so live fire and helicopters can be heard on occasion. Once again we do not allow any parties on our property it is intended for a single family and the guests that have signed up to be here. If additional people will visit you do need to check in with us ahead of time to alert us to provide for parking and general awareness.
