Van Auken Lake cottage rental

This cottage ambiance is quiet and relaxing. You have the option of relaxing on the deck, kayaking on the lake, or driving a short distance to Lake Michigan. You can sit by the fire and enjoy the night sounds, or relax inside with a book or play a game together. We have quiet when you want to relax and fun towns and beaches when you are ready for exploring. It offers you a comfortable visit to a great area of Michigan. The space The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a range, oven, full-size refrigerator with in-door water and ice, toaster, microwave, coffee pot, pots/pans, various mixing bowls, many serving dishes and enough place settings for 6. There is full spice rack for your use. Coffee, tea, creamer and sugar are available. The fridge is stocked with basic condiments. There is a gas grill on the deck. We have one bedroom with a queen bed. There are two twin beds in the sun room, along with a sofa bed available too. I provide bed linens, and bathroom towels. The bathroom has a shower stall. There are a few books, a drawer full of games, a jigsaw puzzle, and a smart TV which has Roku availability, along with a DVD player. We have a row boat, paddle boat, and 4 kayaks, and life jackets when you are on the lake. There are yard games available in the shed, along with fishing poles. I provide campfire wood for a fire. Guest access There is parking space beside the propane tank. The cottage has an attached deck that is a relaxing place to sit. We are off the main road, so you don't hear the road traffic. There is a large lawn space with a firepit for your enjoyment. Part of the lawn is shared with the owners, but it is usually empty, and you have use of it all. Other things to note The cottage is located beside the host's house. There is a large yard with plenty of space to play games and enjoy.
