Warm comfortable home, near stores. Our home is located in a nice community of parks and walking trails. It is within minutes to the freeways I-5 and 205, which makes it very convenient to get about. If, however, your plans include exploring the big city of Portland please be aware that this Listing is NOT in Portland, Oregon. If you decide to book, please do not give us a negative score due to its location. PORTLAND is approximately 24 miles away. The space Your Private bedroom" A Hidden Jewel" has a queen size bed; the mattress is a Beauty rest. New pillows purchased 2022. The room has 2 nightstands that you are invited to use for storage, there are hangers in the closet and a luggage rack for your convenience. Guest bedrooms are within our home, meaning that we live here. We have TWO rooms that are offered through Airbnb. The full guest bathroom is supplied with Towels that were purchased specifically for our guests. They are within the doors of the vanity underneath the bathroom sink. Hair dryer within vanity doors. The new towels are washed and rinsed two times after use. There is plenty of bath tissue. If you have Forgotten Something - there is shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, and toothbrush. All of the Above are located within the vanity doors under the bathroom sink. Please feel comfortable enough to communicate with me if there is something I can provide or get to make your stay what you need. Thank you! I also ask that my guests use the hooks behind their private bedroom doors for damp/wet clothing or towels. Due to the bed post wood that has become damaged moving forward. PLEASE NOTE: STARTING THE DATE OF 5/18/2023, UNFORTUNATELY, I WILL SEEK PAYMENT OF $50.00 WHEN I FIND TOWELS HUNG ON THE BED POSTS. This action continues to cause more fading and peeling of the wood. OUR second listing is just across the way from A Hidden Jewel. The full bathroom with tub and shower is between the 2 guest rooms. The half bath is located downstairs. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN THERE MAY BE A GUEST IN EACH ROOM WHEN THAT IS SUCH - THE GUEST BATHROOM BECOMES SHARED. Please remember to be courteous. When you use the bathroom: Pick up after yourself so that Both guests will have an inviting space to use. Guest access For guests needing to access the kitchen to heat food, store food, please let me know so I can provide assistance. Please know that you are welcome to sit at the dining room table or the kitchen island to have your meals. You are expected to clean up after yourself thoroughly after your meal preparation. We expect you to eat meals in the kitchen or dining room. No eating meals in your room. Others have abused this privilege, leaving food in the room and staining our carpet. PLEASE NOTE MOVING FORWARD AS OF MAY 18/2023 STAINS AND DAMAGE TO FURNITURE IN YOUR ROOM WILL RESULT IN MY SEEKING $50.00 REIMBURSEMENT OR MORE DEPENDING ON THE DAMAGE. The den is limited to your host's use. The washer and dryer are for those guests with reservations longer than 7 days. There is a FEE of $6 Per load which includes wash and dry, detergent and fabric softener. THE FEE IS PAYABLE TO THE HOST AT THE DESIRED TIME OF USE OF THE WASHER AND DRYER - PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME TO HELP YOURSELF. During your stay I work part time outside of the home, but I can plan to accommodate you most times if I am informed before, therefore, I can plan around it. You may always communicate through the Airbnb messaging too. Keep in mind when I am working, I may NOT be available to respond in that moment thank you. Other things to note You must climb stairs to access bedroom. This is a total Pet Free environment (I have BAD allergies). No pets are allowed. Both my husband and I run the Airbnb, if he answers the phone please don't be alarmed. Our master suite is upstairs as is the guest's room same floor. From door to door, it is eight feet. The full bathroom that accommodates the guest rooms is just to the left of that bedroom. Please note that if the other room we offer via Airbnb becomes rented the guest will also use this bathroom. Please be courteous of that by picking up after yourself, thank you. Please note, this is NOT A PLACE TO PARTY. PLEASE CONTINUE SEARCHING. Free street parking is available You can park on any adjacent street also. In getting in and out of your car please respect our neighborhood by NOT littering. Thank you kindly.
