Private guest house with incredible outdoor resort feel, nature, and simple homestead life. 3 miles to University of the Cumberlands. 20 min to Cumberland Falls, home of the world's only Moonbow. *NO smoking of any kind (e-cig included) permitted anywhere on the property or the entire neighborhood. Guests violating our smoking policy are subject to a minimum $400 fee for returning the house or property to smoke-free status and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. The space Our guest home provides you with a resort atmosphere amidst the privacy and serenity of nature. Guest access Our pool is closed for summer of 2025 and will open in late spring/ early summer of 2026 when nighttime temperatures are consistently above freezing and warm enough for proper function of pool (owners discretion). If you have questions about the availability of the pool, or any other details, please ask hosts to avoid any confusion. The hot tub is available year round! - Private Guest house across the pool from my family’s home - Pool (seasonal, not heated, open 24 hours, must be dark and quiet after 10pm) - Hot Tub (only for guests) - Tiki bar - Outdoor Wood Burning Fireplace (bring your own wood) - Indoor Electric Fireplace - Deck - Outdoor seating areas - Games - Inflatable 2 person Kayak and life jacket rental - Nature trails - Herb garden and fruit trees (seasonal) - All outdoor areas are shared by my family and yours, except the hot tub which is reserved exclusively for you. We only use the pool when you are not around. -my landscaping will never be perfect. If you want city-perfect landscaping, this is not the place for that. I work constantly to make the landscaping appealing and fruitful (much of it is edible and at times a bit wild!). -my home is just across the pool from your guest house. The space is not secluded. ***We make no guarantees or promises ever about our pool being open and ready to swim anytime of the year. Our pool is seasonal. We cannot open the pool until the temperatures are warm enough and it needs to be closed when temps are too low to protect our pump, pipes, etc, (owners discretion). We reserve the right to open and close our pool at anytime for any reason (owners discretion). If you desire a year- round pool, please contact local hotel chains as they may be a better fit for your reservation needs. ***We give NO refunds ever regarding the availability of the pool, hot tub, or any other amenities, weather conditions, loss of utilities not limited to electric and water, loss of wifi, personal injuries or trip related incidents. Please consider purchasing travel insurance for any of these potential concerns. Other things to note We have ONE bedroom with a king bed. We have two other twin mattresses in the living area in the form of a day bed with a trundle. The daybed doubles as a couch and the trundle rolls underneath the daybed like a drawer. The ONLY bathroom is accessed through the bedroom and from the outside of the building. You CANNOT go from the living area into the bathroom without going through the bedroom (or from outside- this is very convenient with the pool and hot tub). Breakfast includes a small and limited variety of self service items for your enjoyment; we do not cook in the mornings. Your cabana guest house does NOT have full kitchen! You will have a kitchenette area with a tiny sink, tiny amount of very limited counter space, a double hot plate (not a traditional stove top, stowed way in cabinets), mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, filters, coffee, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, silverware, utensils, cutting board, measuring spoons & cups, colander, children's' eatery, pots & pans, oven mitt, towels, washcloths, paper towels, dish soap, cleaners, salt & pepper, coasters, kitchen cart with shelves (microwave is located on this cart), etc. Our little guest house is really meant for only 2 guests, but we will allow extra guests if you feel that the space is not too small for your family. There is an extra guest/night fee. Unfortunately, for health reasons we cannot allow guests with any animals or pets on our property. This does include both service animals as well as pets. This is a 100% smoke free property and neighborhood. This includes e-cigs. If you’re a smoker, we love you, but please do not book with us. Thank you. ***No smoking of any kind (all drugs and e-cig included) in the home, anywhere on the property, or in the entire neighborhood. This is a smoke free neighborhood and we want to be respectful of our neighbors. Guests violating our smoking policy are subject to a minimum $400 fee for returning the house or property to smoke-free status and agree to being charged, accepting this policy through your reservation. Additionally, your reservation will be terminated, and you will be asked to immediately check out and leave the property.
