Cozy 'Off the Grid" Rustic Cabin

If you enjoy 'roughing it', stay in our beautiful log home from the late 1800's. It has been completely redone, maintaining all of the old character. It is nestled in the edge of the bush, that provides kilometres of hiking trails. The cabin is also situated on a pond so you can spend your days swimming, canoeing, fishing and exploring this nature lover's paradise. Spend your time here unplugging from your everyday life and reconnecting to the healing properties of a natural environment. The space This cabin is truly off the grid. With no hydro, you will spend your evenings connecting around the wood fireplace with the light of lanterns and candles. We will provide a propane hot plate for preparing simple meals. There is a ladder leading to the sleeping loft with a child gate. There is no running water however there will be a supply of fresh water for drinking and cooking. There is a composting toilet located in the sleeping loft. Guest access There are a few kilometres of hiking trails located on our 100 acre property. In the winter you can enjoy your day cross-county skiing and snowshoeing. The snowmobile trail is located at the end of our road for convenient access. There is a great hill for sledding and snowboarding. You can also enjoy the pond for skating and hockey tournaments! In the summer, relax by swimming and fishing in the pond. You can search for plenty of wildlife on your walks through the property. Spend your evenings roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Before you call it a night, be sure to take some time to experience the beautiful, starry night sky. Other things to note Please be cautious with young children around the ponds located on the property.
