This unit can also be combined with Unit 4- The Barber Shop Suite. Large Efficiency Unit 2- With 350 sq. ft, this apartment is private and cozy, yet spacious enough for 1 or 2 people. There is a small closet and more storage space is available for longer term stays. A fully functioning kitchenette has everything you need to cook in the space — a 2 burner hotplate, large capacity toaster/convection oven, a microwave, pots & pans, etc. There is a full bath with shower… which has plenty of hot water and a supply of toiletries and fluffy towels. The queen bed is very comfortable with a memory foam mattress and quality linens. The wifi is very fast and there’s a bistro table to set up on should you need to get some work done. Get cozy in the lounging area. Appointed with higher-end furnishings, curl upon the sofa and watch your favorite streaming shows and movies. On a nice summer night have a barbecue. There's a small gas grill and lawn chairs provided for your use. Laundry facilities are also located in the shared laundry room adjacent to the unit. In addition to the area being very safe and well lit, there are added layers of security with a dedicated Ring alarm system, exterior cameras and local police and sheriff being in very close proximity. Guests have access to the entire apartment, the grill in the front common area and the front yard. Off-limit areas are labeled as such and/or locked off. I am social but at the same time private. I'll gauge and be flexible regarding the amount of interaction my guests desire. Because I work in another part of the building, I may be there some of the time. I will be there upon check-in to greet you and give you any recommendations on dining, sight seeing, activities, etc. Check-out is easy for a hassle-free departure. This is a quirky area on the outskirts of Rockford (in Cherry Valley, IL). It's a mix of rural, commercial and retail—and while not the most scenic neighborhood around, I can't emphasize enough how convenient it is. So close to everything anyone would need— a great bar & grill (Drink), a pizza place, a Chinese restaurant, a wine and cigar shop, a pack & ship store and a dry cleaner are all steps out the door. Eggsclusive Cafe and Kegel's—the world's oldest Harley-Davidson dealership has a great diner for breakfast and lunch (and there's always a classic Harley on display). Walgreens, Circle K Gas & Convenience Store, Several fast food places as well as Schnuck's grocery store are all in the immediate vicinity. Finally there is Cherry Vale Mall, a major regional mall—with Macy's, JC Penney, H&M, Barnes & Noble, a food court, Titled (Bowling, arcade games, laser tag, bumper cars, miniature golf, food & drink)... and over 130 stores. Menards is directly behind the property and has some great deals on grocery items. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is 3 mins away. Charming, historic downtown Cherry Valley is 5 mins away with restaurants and bars, Cattle & Cream (a great ice creamery and butcher shop), a post office a nice library and a an apple orchard. Baumann Park is great for walking and is connected to the path system located across the street. There's also new YMCA just minutes away for those that would like to get some activity in. In addition to the things listed nearby, Mercyhealth Sportscore II, Indoor Sports Facility and the new Mercy Hospital Campus are 12 minutes away. Rock Cut State Park is 15 minutes away. For being in the middle of everything, you'll find the apartment amazingly quiet and private. A car is essential to getting around in the Rockford area. There is Über and the Rockford Mass Transit bus stops at CherryVale Mall. There's a walking and bike path that hooks up with the Cherry Valley Park District path adjacent to the property. There's also a Tesla charging station located in the CherryVale Mall parking lot. The Van Galder Bus Co. terminal is 5 mins away with hourly service to O'Hare airport. The Chicago/Rockford International Airport (Allegiant Air) is 15 mins away. The closest Metra train station with service to downtown Chicago is 30 mins away in Elgin via I-90. Families are welcome but we may require an extra security deposit for children under 12. As stated, the unit accommodates up to 4 people relatively comfortably. 2 on the queen bed and up to 2 more… 1 on the sofa and 1 on a twin air bed. The air bed can be provided for a one-time supplemental charge of $25 after 2 guests or should someone want their own bed. One should note that all sleeping arrangements will be in the same 350 sq ft room. Please inquire for special sleeping arrangements. For long term stays an additional security deposit may be required. Unfortunately, I do not commit to short term stays (3 days or more) several months in advance. Ask about an additional discount for stays more than 30 days. SORRY NO OTHER DISCOUNTS OUTSIDE THE WEEKLY DISCOUNT FOR UNDER 30 DAYS (the price as quoted by Airbnb includes the 10% weekly and 20% monthly discounts). PETS: Overall we have a no pets policy. Small pets under 60 lbs will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be charged a $25/nt or $100/mo per animal fee. Service animals may require documentation of proof. Support animals will require a filled out questionnaire as well as documentation. A final walk-through will also be required prior to departure. Regardless of classification type, guests are responsible for any damage or extensive cleaning due to their animals. This may be in addition to the $250 security deposit, which will not be returned depending on the severity of the damage.
