Centrally located and only minutes from Charlevoix and Bellaire, Torch Lake and Lake Michigan there's plenty of reasons to come north. Whether you love to fish, swim, golf, shop or simply enjoy an evening campfire to stargaze and listen to the loons The Guest House is your place to relax and enjoy nature at it's best! The space THE GUEST HOUSE is OPEN YEAR ROUND and is located in Antrim County's Chain-O-Lakes country in the middle of hills, woods and water in a very rural setting. The Guest House is a CLEAN, comfortable place to detox with a beach house vibe. Walk to the sandy beach at Echo Twp park just down the road for swimming/fishing/boating in summer or ice fishing, cross country skiing or eagle watching in winter. Hike or bike the surrounding area or adventure out to view the beautiful countryside! Get back to nature. Smell the clean air. Enjoy a campfire at the back yard campfire pit or try your hand at a game of horseshoes. View the stars at night from either the back yard or front porch where, in summer, you can hear the haunting cries of the loons. If you don't want to cook, local restaurants offer a variety of cuisines and there are several breweries and wineries in the area. Friske Farm Market in Atwood has gift shop full of Michigan products plus several area Amish communities offer a variety of baked goods as well. Torch Lake and Lake Michigan are fifteen minutes away. Charlevoix the Beautiful is a must visit with it's famous mushroom houses and Castle Farms. Golf courses abound for every skill level and several are an easy 15 minute drive including Antrim Dells, the Mallard, the Centennial, the Chief, HawksEye, and others. Boyne, Shanty Creek and Schuss Mtn are your winter ski destinations. Our low nightly rates offer guests the opportunity to afford daytime excursions to many of the popular tourist towns, beautiful lakes, golf courses and ski resorts so come north and have fun!!!! Then come home to a clean, quiet place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guest access The Guest House is bordered by woods to the north and a meadow filled with raspberries in summer and two bluebird houses. Off street parking and wide steps lead up to the porch and entrance with motion detector lights at night. For boating/fishing enthusiasts there is plenty of room to park your rig with an outside electrical outlet for charging your batteries. Self check in and keys and greeting instructions are inside the front door. Six Mile Lake can be seen from the front porch. Other things to note IMPORTANT information about reservations: the number of guests listed in your booking reservation is the total maximum number of guests (regardless of age) allowed on the premises at any time during your stay. Please do not request a reservation above the four person limit. Additional guests not included in the reservation at the time of booking will automatically terminate your stay. Loud music and parties will also terminate your stay. Animals of any kind are not allowed anywhere on the premises. Guests with severe allergies and breathing issues depend on an atmosphere free of dander, pet hair, etc. in order to enjoy their stay without worry so please respect their right to do so. Please note there are no cleaning or other fees being charged (except the normal Airbnb booking fees). This is due to the fantastic guests who have stayed at The Guest House and their respect for the property both inside and out. Please continue this trend so this policy never changes. Thank you.
