Welcome to Croix Hollow. This custom built cedar home is nestled on 12 acres in the St. Croix River Valley. Whether you are looking for a couple's escape, a family getaway, or a girls weekend you will have plenty of room to relax and unwind. The soaring two and a half story great room on the main level is the perfect place to gather. The large stone gas fireplace is accented by a double wall of windows overlooking a wooded area. The main level also features a newly remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops, new appliances including subzero fridge and eat-in area. There is a formal dining room, as well as a bedroom with attached full bath on this floor as well. There is also a brand new front loading washer & dryer in the main floor mudroom, which is available for you to use during your stay. The primary bedroom occupies the second floor of the home. It features a gas fireplace (double sided to both bedroom & bathroom), private balcony, primary bathroom with double vanity, huge jetted tub, and stand alone shower. The walkout lower level is filled with light, and the perfect place for spotting wildlife! Downstairs you will find the theater room, bar / game room entertaining area with TV, gas fireplace and bar area. The newly renovated theater room features a 75" HDTV with streaming services, Sonos surround sound, and large cozy sectional sofa. There are also two bedrooms on the lower level - one bedroom with attached bath & 4 person sauna, and the bunk room bedroom. There is a large wraparound deck off of the great room, which features a 3 burner gas grill, outdoor sectional, loveseat, chairs, and an outdoor dining table that seats 12. Off to the left side of the house you will find a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and lots of room to roam. Seasonal Activities: Spring / Summer - Walk / hike / bike in nearby state parks and trails. Take a river boat ride or see the glacial potholes in Taylors Falls. Rent kayaks at William O'Brien or Taylors Falls. Visit the nearby Winery, or head down to Stillwater for shopping & patio dining! Fall / Winter - Fall colors are amazing in the St. Croix River Valley! Enjoy a bonfire, or take a walk / hike / bike ride in nearby William O'Brien or Interstate State Parks. In the Winter you can snow shoe around our property, or cross country ski in William O'Brien. Trollhaugen and Wild Mountain Ski areas are also nearby! Don't want to leave? Don't worry about stripping beds, laundry, vacuuming or anything else - we've got it! We're also pleased to offer you plenty of consumables - no need to bring your own TP here!! We provide plenty of Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Hand / Dish Soaps, Dishwasher Pods, Laundry Detergent, Garbage bags, Ziploc bags, Aluminum Foil, Napkins, basic Kitchen condiments and Nespresso Coffee Pods. We use scent free detergents on all our linens and towels, which are high quality 100% cotton. Check in: 3pm Check out: 11am ** We try to accommodate early check-ins / late check-outs based on availability (but can not always guarantee) - please request this with your booking if you are looking for different check-in / out timing. ** You'll have our entire house which sits on 12 acres of land. There is a long driveway with 2 car garage and plenty of parking space on our property. You'll want a car to explore the area. Hosts live 20 minutes away from the property, and are available via text / phone. A house guidebook with recommendations for activities, dining, etc is provided in the house.
