Private lil’ tiny house in the backyard of an residence on a modest residential street just ~10 mins. south of downtown Raleigh, NC! The space is best for one person (short & long term) or couples (short term), 2 humans, max. Tiny fun! The space was a construction site trailer. It’s modest. The neighborhood is too; mostly working/middle class families and tenants. Think cozy glamping with plumbing, privacy and wifi. This is NOT the Hilton. It’s priced accordingly. Long lease inquiries welcome! The space Wanna try the tiny house life? Come stay in just ~220 square feet, just 10-15 minutes south of Downtown Raleigh! This house is a tiny house made from a retired construction site trailer. It offers privacy and one level tiny living (so no shimmying down a ladder in the dark when you have to pee in the middle of the night!). This space is modest. The neighborhood is too. If you have champagne tastes, this is more Miller Lite. Please do not trash us in reviews because you did not read this entire listing, and you expected something far different. There’s a deck on which you can chill and admire the large lush backyard that features a lemon, magnolia, pecan, black walnut, oak and dogwood tree. It’s best to pack some bug spray during warmer months. The mosquitoes here are bad. Repeat: The mosquitoes are BAD. Also, like all of the south, Water bugs, ants, ladybugs and other critters are quite common. The entire property is treated semi-annually to deter insects. Your help with this is appreciated: clean counters, store any food in airtight containers, take out the garbage regularly, keep doors and windows closed and wipe or vacuum any spills. *There is only one sink. Repeat: there is only one sink. It is in the kitchen. *Flushing toilet (no compost; no incinerator), tiny bathtub/shower combo. *Kitchenette with dorm fridge & microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot and a hot plate. (There is NOT a full kitchen; no stove, no oven.) *There is no TV. **Repeat after me: There is no TV. (Bring your tablet or laptop, go to the Alamo Draft House for a movie, etc.) Property owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that may occur while on the premises or its facilities. Owner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of any guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to the premise. Visitors besides those registered in the Airbnb reservation as guests are discouraged. Guest access Hang out in the back yard & enjoy the deck attached to the tiny house all you want! Other things to note There is a Bluetooth speaker available for your use. A Keurig and a small drip coffee pot are provided. There are a few plates, cups, coffee mugs and utensils, a bottle opener & wine tool, and that’s about it. Guests provide their own food and drink. As the pictures show, there’s a dorm fridge and a microwave. There is no stove or oven, but I have a small toaster oven and an electric hot plate and a tea pot in one of the cabinets as well as a pot, pan and small skillet. It’s super helpful if you wash the dishes you use. There’s a dish rack for your use. Cleaning products, a small hand broom and TP and Paper towels are provided. There’s a vacuum too. Please clean up after yourself. If you forget some toiletries, I have a basket of the basics available along with clean towels in the “closet” in the bedroom. There’s an iron and a small ironing board, some coat hooks and a few hangers. There’s a small fan. If you are sensitive to light noise, please bring an eye mask, earplugs, a white noise, machine, etc. The HVAC makes noise because of course it does. Please be advised - you are going to hear the HVAC running. Linens are washed at my home, by me. I have long hair and dogs and while I do my best to make sure our hairs don't travel, it is possible, they may. If you have severe allergies to animal fur, please be advised: it is probably best you find other housing. WiFi is boosted to the tiny house from the brick house, but is shared, so bandwidth is subject to change.
