Enter your access code - you'll receive it via email before check-in. A green light indicates the code is accepted; turn the door handle beneath the keypad and open the door. The door locks automatically behind you when closed. If the light flashes red, the code may have been entered incorrectly. Allow 5 seconds for the lock to reset and try again. After three wrong attempts in a row, the lock will go inactive for 30 seconds before you can try again. There are also two lockboxes by the entry door containing backup keys to the unit. Please leave at least one key in the lockboxes at all times to prevent lockouts. If your cell phone doesn't work, there's a house phone available - with no long distance restrictions. Other things to note The home has a wood-burning fire pit on the property. Firewood is not provided. Online fire permits are available through New Hampshire's online system - if you plan to have a fire on more than one day, you'll need a Category I seasonal permit, which must be purchased ahead of time. This home does not have air conditioning. Due to cool mountain temperatures, you may want to open windows in the evening and early morning to naturally cool the space, then close them and draw curtains during the warmest part of the day. Fans are available throughout the home.
