Welcome to Jungle Bungalow, your ultimate home away from home in the heart of downtown Indianapolis! Prepare for an unforgettable stay in our stylish and renovated haven, tailored to accommodate groups with up to 8 guests. Located just a short car ride away from the city's vibrant attractions, this peaceful oasis offers the best of both worlds. Hey there! We're so excited to share with you our charming historic home that has been beautifully renovated and reconfigured in 2021 to give you the perfect home away from home. We've made sure that all the mechanicals are modern and brand new to make your stay comfortable and worry-free. With tons of large windows, the home is filled with natural light, but don't worry, we've got you covered with black-out shades in the bedrooms for a peaceful sleep. Let's talk about the living space! The main living area is open and perfect for spending time with loved ones. The living room has a TV and a cozy seating area. Plus, we've added an inflatable queen air mattress to accommodate two more guests. There's also a convenient half bath with access to the main living area. The kitchen, living room, and dining room all open up to each other, making it easy to hang out together. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals for your family, including an oversized peninsula that comfortably seats 5 at the counter. If you need anything essential in the kitchen that's not there, just give us a shout, and we'll have it to the home within a day. We've installed GE appliances, including a gas oven range, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and garbage disposal. We typically stock the kitchen with chips, oatmeal, ground coffee, tea, sweeteners, and sparkling water. And there's even a spout for filtered water at the sink. Just so you know, the pump at the kitchen sink is filled with hand soap, and the button by the sink is the garbage disposal. The dining area has a long dining table that seats 8, perfect for family dinners and gatherings. Now, let's talk about the beds and baths. There are three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and a half bathroom. Bedroom 1 is located on the first floor and features a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower that has a low curb, making it easy to enter. If a guest stays in this room, they would be able to enter the home and room completely step-free by using the ramp on the back of the house. There's also a walk-in closet with plenty of built-in storage. Bedroom 2 is upstairs and located at the back of the house. This room features a vaulted ceiling, a king-sized bed, and an en suite bathroom with a tub/shower and a large walk-in closet with built-ins. Bedroom 3 is located upstairs in the front of the home and is a converted attic space. The ceiling in this room is sloped on the sides. There's a full bathroom with a shower directly outside of this third bedroom. There's also a large open area on the second floor with a couple of chairs, perfect for some quiet time. Plus, there's plenty of room to put the queen-sized air mattress in this loft area for extra guests. The air mattress is kept inside the closet in the 2nd bedroom. The home has high ceilings throughout (except the 3rd bedroom). Lastly, the laundry room is on the main level, and there's a washer and dryer available for your use. We provide fragrance-free detergent and bleach for your convenience. The cleaning crew washes the linens on-site between guests, and sometimes, there might be laundry left in the dryer. If you'd like to use the washer and dryer, please just move the laundry aside. We hope you love our home as much as we do and have a fantastic stay! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. You'll have the entire house to yourself and can access everything except the unfinished basement. There is a back deck with a table and chairs. There is a ramp for entering through the back of the house, which is perfect for rolling up luggage and for those who don't like to use stairs. There is backyard space with a grassy area. The yard is not fenced. There is a covered front porch with a ceiling fan with 2 chairs to sit and sip your lemonade and watch the world go by. We're not at the property. However, we are available to contact if you need anything. Welcome to our cozy home in the vibrant Bates-Hendricks neighborhood! You'll love being on the main thoroughfare with easy access to downtown, Lucas Oil Stadium, and Banker's Life Fieldhouse. Plus, there are so many amazing local businesses just a couple blocks away, like a gym, coffee shop, ice cream shop, house bar, brow studio, and home goods store. You might even want to check out the speak easy nearby! When you're ready to explore more of Indianapolis, here are some places we recommend checking out: - Gainbridge Field House - only 1.6 miles away - Lucas Oil Stadium - just 1.7 miles away - Indiana Convention Center - 2.0 miles - Indianapolis Motor Speedway - a bit further at 7.9 miles, but worth it for racing fans! - The Children's Museum of Indianapolis - only 6.2 miles away - Indianapolis Museum of Art & Newfields - 7.1 Miles - Indianapolis Zoo - 3.6 Miles But don't forget to take advantage of all that Bates-Hendricks has to offer! We highly recommend visiting some of our favorite local businesses, like Lincoln Lane Coffee House, Two Chicks District Company (an HGTV Good Bones home goods store), The Vault Indy, Big Lew's Tatoos, 1718 House Bar, Bates Ice Cream, Smudge Salon, Tex-Mex, Bang A Salon, Bowhaus Tap, ARC Fitness, and Half Moon Brow Studio. You'll get a true taste of our community! And if you're up for exploring even more, we're also close to Fletcher Place, Garfield Park, Fountain Square, and all of downtown. We'll send you a digital guidebook when you book with lots of recommendations to make the most of your stay. Can't wait to host you and show you why we love our neighborhood so much! The neighborhood is located just south of downtown. It's near the Indianapolis Cultural Trail and the Rapid Transit Line. There are scooters available. You could explore the city without needing a car. However, you can easily get to all parts of the city with a quick drive or Uber trip. PARKING Street parking in the neighborhood is free. You can also park long ways in front of the garage behind the house if you like. The space to park in front of the garage is large enough for a van or small bus. The garage is not available for use. ACCESS You can easily enter from the front or back of the home. There is a touchpad on both doors. To enter the front, you will need to go up 3 steps to get to the front door. They are not steep. There is a ramp going up to the deck in the back of the house. So, it is possible to enter the home without using steps & it's great for rolling luggage up.
