No one lives there but it has a separate entrance and is not setup to offer the top notch 5-star experience like the rest of the house. There are 2 separate areas to park. Creekside Basecamp is just 13 minutes away from town and situated on a paved mountain road (NC scenic byway) surrounded by nothing but trees and water so you'll be fully immersed in nature. OTHER NEARBY TOWNS We are near Highlands (45 minutes), Cashiers (55 minutes), Bryson City (55 minutes), Asheville (90 minutes), Hayesville & Lake Chatuge (35 minutes), the Blue Ridge Parkway, Nantahala Lake (20 minutes), Cherokee Harrah's Casino (50 minutes), Great Smoky Mountain National Park (1 hour) and downtown Franklin (13 minutes). The Nantahala region is located in the Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge mountains. The home is just minutes away from the Appalachian Trail, Bartram Trail and many other hikes and activities. AIRPORTS Asheville AVL airport is 90 minutes away and Atlanta ATL ariport is 2.5 hours away. If you happen to be a pilot, Franklin has its own Macon County Airport 25 minutes away. We do have Starlink, but please keep in mind that the internet in the mountains may be slower than what you're used to. It's recently renovated and nicely furnished. It's close to town (10-15 minutes) and feels very private.
