The Château Gaillard cottage - Charm and comfort

A few steps from the ruins of Château-Gaillard, this furnished town house welcomes you in a warm and soothing setting combining modern comfort and charm of the old: monumental fireplace, Louis XIII staircase, freestone, lime plaster, wooden framework remarkable, tomettes. Part of the architectural heritage of the city, this 15th century house has been completely renovated to allow you to spend an intimate stay in the heart of the Pays de la Loire, 1h30 from Paris. The space Historic house of 180 m2, carefully renovated, which offers a summary of the architectural heritage of the region in a warm and soothing setting close to multiple tourist attractions. Autonomous arrival - secure key box - will allow you to arrive with complete peace of mind knowing that we will always be available in the event of a problem during arrival or stay. A comprehensive arrival message containing the secure key box code and instructions will be sent to you a few days before the start of the reservation. We provide two pillows and a duvet per bed. Bath mat, liquid soap, toilet paper, detergent for the washing machine and tablets for the dishwasher are also provided. You retain the freedom to take a linen kit package - for those who wish to travel light - which includes a fitted sheet, a duvet cover, two pillowcases and two towels, for €19 per bed (2P bed). We also offer a towel kit (1 bath towel, 1 hand towel) for €9 per person. In fact, many travelers prefer to take these services à la carte and we therefore offer them at an additional cost. Please notify us before booking confirmation. Our tenants expect to find impeccable accommodation. Also, we apply the principle of the shared cleaning package. Shared household: - dishes put away and bins emptied, - floors of the cottage vacuumed, - if the barbecue has been used, please clean it as well as the cooking grill. Additional cleaning - included in the rental price - will be used to restore the bathroom, toilets and cleaning - kitchen, floors, etc. - in order to ensure impeccable hygiene and cleanliness. The house has a beautiful courtyard - facing south - which can accommodate one or two cars in private, enclosed parking and offers a relaxation area - small garden furniture - in the shade of a beautiful olive tree. A small courtyard is located behind the house. On the ground floor of the house, you will find: - a large kitchen offering all modern comforts: dishwasher, induction hob, oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, Nespresso, Tassimo; - a scullery/laundry room with washing machine and storage space and a separate toilet; - a reception room/living room with a beautiful monumental fireplace, stove, sofas, TV and open space dining room; On the first floor, after taking a beautiful Louis XIII staircase: - a cozy mezzanine lounge for relaxation (TV, table football, some board games, comics,...); - a large master suite with a queen size bed (160x200), a sofa bed (BZ 140x190), a dressing room and office area +TV+DVD player; - a bathroom – corner bathtub, hydromassage shower and double sinks and a separate toilet; On the top floor are: - a large bedroom with a 140x200 bed, an office area and a sofa bed (BZ 140x190); - a second bedroom in “open space” with blackout curtains, under a magnificent old frame with a bed also 140x200. Finally, you will find in the boiler room (outbuilding), a barbecue, parasol, 2 deckchairs and 2 deck chairs, some outdoor games,... From now on, you are at home… Guest access Entire house with private courtyard (enclosed parking for 2 cars). Other things to note We send you by mail before your arrival a small panorama of the tourist places to visit in the surroundings. For shops, you will find a baker and a minimarket below the church square as well as supermarkets in the surrounding area: G20 in Châtillon-sur-Loire, Carrefour market in Briare and a Super U in Bonny sur Loire.
