The space James Tymon's cottage is a self-catering farmhouse set on 30 acres of land by the banks of the Owenmore river just 1km from the village of Gurteen in Co Sligo. Our welcoming cottage with fast broadband speeds has two bedrooms all with very comfortable original old wrought iron beds. The cosy living room has an open fire, loads of books and satellite TV. The dining room with seating for 6 has a Nestor Martin stove in the fireplace which gives a warm feel to the room. The cottage has its own unlimited supply of turf and timber logs not to mention everything you need to start a fire. Enjoy walks with or without your pets (always welcome) from the door, down to and along by the river or up by the trees and beyond to the stone-walled meadows. The local village is just a 1km stroll away and has a supermarket, post, pharmacy, petrol station, traditional Irish music centre and pubs which serve food and good music. It's a great base from which to tour and explore the towns, lakes and mountains of Co Sligo and the north-west region. Everything is included in the price - all linen, towels, heating and electricity. I also provide unlimited turf for the open fire and old Stanley stove. Guest access Guests have full access to the house, outbuildings and grounds which have a number of walks through a peaceful and relaxing landscape of stone-walled fields and old trees and along by the river. If you bring your dog they will love the space. Other things to note The cottage now has free fast broadband so the best of all worlds - a quiet, private and peaceful retreat but with the best wifi at hand.
