In the middle of nature in the lovingly furnished 5-star vacation home with a 6000 m² park garden, you can find peace and quiet. The cottage is in a very quiet location by the forest. Enjoy romantic evenings by the fireplace and candlelight. Barbecue on the terrace while splashing the water cascades or bake bread on a stick by the campfire. It is a paradise for man and dog. The space We love the house and you will too! The children have grown up and we have now decided to share our weekend paradise with vacation guests. We have newly renovated the living rooms and furnished them for vacation guests. In July 2017, our first guests arrived. We are very proud that we were awarded 5 stars by the German Tourism Association in March 2018. Our facility: Living room: Cozy and comfortable living room with a seating area, indoor fireplace, UHD TV with Smart TV (with Internet connection), DVD player and a stereo system. Here you can spend relaxing evenings in a cozy atmosphere by the fireplace and candlelight. The spacious dining area has access to the balcony on the south side of the house with another dining table. Free fast Wi-Fi is available to our guests. Kitchen: The small but fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for cooking and baking. Refrigerator, dishwasher, ceramic hob, hood, oven, coffee maker, coffee grinder, kettle, toaster, food processor, spices and dish towels. An additional fridge/freezer is available in the basement. 1st bedroom: Bedroom with double bed (180 cm x 200 cm) and 2 wardrobes. In the display case you will find a collection of books for cozy reading evenings. The window is equipped with an insect screen. 2nd bedroom: Bedroom with double bed (180 cm x 200 cm), satellite TV with smart TV function, wardrobe and reading chair. The window is equipped with an insect screen. In addition, underfloor heating is available. 3rd bedroom – children's bedroom: Children's bedroom with a bunk bed and wardrobe. The bunk bed consists of two beds measuring 90 cm x 200 cm. On the two beds are bookshelves with selected children's books, as well as a mobile phone speaker. The window is equipped with an insect screen. 1. Bathroom: Upstairs there is a bathroom with shower, sink, hairdryer and toilet. In addition, underfloor heating is available in the bathroom. 2nd bathroom: The second bathroom on the ground floor was renovated in 2019 and has a large rain shower, toilet, vanity, hairdryer and washing machine. Party room: The party room in the basement with an illuminated bar counter, refrigerator, pull-out sofa bed, stereo system, disco ball, pull-out table for 8 people, board games, shoe cabinet, wood-burning stove and benches offers a pleasant atmosphere for a cozy get-together. Sauna and veranda From August 2019, a 6 m² sauna is available. A small veranda allows direct access from the house. Water: The tap water comes from the house's own water well with very good Vogelsberg drinking water, which is of course checked annually for purity. Heating: The whole house is heated with central gas heating. In addition, the indoor fireplace in the living room sufficiently heats the entire upper floor. Barbecue on the terrace and campfire: On the covered terrace with outdoor fireplace you can spend cozy evenings barbecuing while splashing the water cascades. For romantic evenings, there is a fireplace with benches and an adjoining dining area. Garden: The 6000 m² fenced property in the weekend area of Gonterskirchen is surrounded by the forest and a picturesque stream. In addition to two ponds with carp and red-eyed fish, there is a small goldfish pond with cascade waterfalls in the rock garden by the house. Depending on the season, you will find many animals in the garden: frogs, salamanders, fireflies, raccoons, stag beetles - pure nature! Probably the sweetest are the newts that swim in our ponds. Vacation with a dog: animal pleasure We value that your pets feel comfortable with us. The property is fenced. Food bowls, a dog towel, and a dog bed are available for your dog. ____________________________________ Vacation for families with children: There is so much to do: bake bread on a stick by the campfire, browse through the many children's books, play board games in the evening. Your children will find many play opportunities in our playhouse and sandpit. ______________________________________ Active vacation: hiking and biking The hiking trails start right by the house. The Vogelsberg volcano ring with a length of about 115 km can be hiked in 6 stages. If you only have a few hours, you can choose a circuit over the weekend areas in Gonterskirchen or among nine "premium routes" with a length between 9 and 19 kilometers of the Vogelsberg Touristik. For cyclists there is a well-developed network of bike paths on old railway lines. These bike paths are without traffic and therefore ideal for families. There are around 245 km of railway cycle paths (volcano cycle path, southern railway cycle path, Hungen-Laubach railway cycle path, and much more) available. Guest access You have access to all rooms in the house and garden except the tool shed and the workshop.
