Nearly 2300 square foot log home, restored in 2017 surrounded by woods. This is a traditional all wood Log home and can not be compared to a frame building , which will make your stay different and unique! Please read full disclosures about Lodge before booking! The space Restored and upgraded in 2017, 40+ year old log home in a rustic country setting, surrounded by woods. Encounters with wildlife like deer, raccoons, opossum, geese, ducks and many small animals to be expected. We started our restoration in September of 2017 and our main concentration was the building itself (log restoration by TIMELESS TIMBERS, Strasburg Ohio) and the inside. We completely gutted the inside of the Lodge and with the help of pinterest ideas, came up with many unique custom builds. We have well water, which can have a sulfur smell and also cause iron residue, neither is harmful! The Lodge is an all wood building, sawdust and bark chips can be found inside and out even after a thorough cleaning due to shrinkage or expansion of the wood. We are a hunting/vacation Lodge, so part of our decore are animal mounts, you may want to prepare your smaller children! For the next step we are working on landscaping, adding a catch and release pond. As Ohio weather and our schedule permits us to do, not all areas by the Lodge are neatly groomed, we are also protecting our wildlife! The Lodge location is on the hillside of Coshocton surrounded by dirt roads, uneven walking ground and muddy areas during rainy season. Certain times of the year, being in and around woods, we attracked insects, like wasps, stink bugs, beatles etc. even with pest control will you encounter these inside and out! We also have spotty cell service, but now offer starlink wifi. We supply tv's with dvds and videos to watch. You are close to 19000 acres of public hunting ground. Only 5 minutes to Roscoe Village and within 30 to 60 minutes to Amish Country, Tappan, Dillon and Saltfork lake. We want you to enjoy our LODGE as much as we do. We are very proud of our accomplishments thus far and continousely are working on improvements to make this an exciting vacation spot for you in Coshocton. Thank you for your interest! Other things to note We added starlink internet access as of January 2024! We added a HOT TUB! We are still working on the landscaping. Please realize that this is a rustic country setting! Our Location is in rural Ohio, surrounded by farms and large properties, you may hear gunshots on occassion do to neighbors target shooting or disposing of farm pests like groundhogs or raccoons, please consider, when booking!!! You will be staying in a true wood cabin surrounded by woods. Natural wood is not perfect and can have some very small gaps in between the logs, which under extrem weather change days can attract pests like beatles, wasps, bees, spiders or the occational rodent. You may ENCOUNTER these even with pest control! We have a professional exterminator spray the entire Lodge and supply spray pesticides for your convenience, in case this may happen. Please consider before booking! The cabin is not and will not be suitable for handicapped persons. It is a country setting with uneven grounds, gravel and dirt walks.
