Description
Our self contained & spacious 3 bedroom cottage is part of a grade 2 listed farmhouse, the oldest rooms dating back to the early 1400’s, but with modern conveniences such as a fully stocked kitchen and wifi. Next to a working farm, it has a private garden and patio, & if it’s raining/in cooler weather, do use our conservatory to relax in. Please note: the property is No Smoking throughout, including the kitchen & conservatory. The space Entering through the front door into the kitchen (mind your head!), you are in the oldest part of the house. Beyond that you will find two spacious reception rooms, one with comfy chairs and TV, one with dining table and sideboard containing games. Upstairs are the three bedrooms and bathroom. Outside the cottage, the garden wraps around the building. There's a private patio (with table and chairs) and lawn, with a number of flower beds. The conservatory is available for guests if they wish to use it on cool or wet days. Guests are welcome to wander around all the rest of the garden too. Guest access We have space for two cars/small vans only. No large vans or trucks please. There is no parking on the road as it is a narrow country lane and although the drive is a decent size, turning around can be tricky when a few vehicles are parked on it. We have a shed to lock bikes in if you bring them. Guests are welcome to walk or sit anywhere in our garden. Other things to note Please note, despite being animal lovers, we do not take dogs. We have 5 cats and a very friendly dog here. They don’t understand the concept of privacy so I apologise if they drop in uninvited. Please ask about assistance dogs (only) coming to stay though. We are insured for 5 people to stay overnight only - guests are welcome during the day however. The kitchen ceiling and a couple of doorways are very low, please watch your head! The garden is unfenced (we hope to rectify that in the winter) and beside a working farm. Tractors and other vehicles do go past, so please keep a close eye on children, and there will be some tractor noise and dust during harvest. We also have an unfenced pond. Please note that some of the paved surfaces may be slippery when wet and that there are a few steps around the garden. Two small vehicles only overnight please - no large vans or trucks. Although the drive is a decent size, we need to park on it too, and it is right outside our home. There is no parking on the road as it is a narrow country lane. No candles (except outdoors), smoking or vaping indoors please. We don’t offer long term lets. Sorry. If you or whoever you are booking for, are working nights, please let us know so that we can cancel any work that needs doing during the day, so that they can sleep undisturbed.
