Villa Nica is a beautiful, recently constructed villa, with a modernist design, yet extremely comfortable and well-designed for a relaxing holiday in Sicily. Just a few hundred metres from the sparkling waters of San Lorenzo beach, a popular seaside location in the south-east of Sicily, the villa also offers a pristine garden complete with a 12m saltwater swimming pool. The spacious, light and bright Villa Nica is built all on one level, and the many windows and doors flood the indoors with light, giving an airy feel. A seamless indoor-outdoor space is provided by the extensive poolside terrace leading directly off the villa. The garden and extensive outdoor space includes a well equipped outdoor kitchen and Bbq, seating areas with shade and provides a choice of perfect spots for dining, socialising, snoozing or sun-worshipping. The creative lighting transforms the evenings at Villa Nica, and you will love making the most of your holiday at any time of day. Three sleek bedrooms all overlook the garden and open onto the terrace. There is a choice of 2 double rooms, one with an additional single bed, both with en-suite bathrooms, and the third is a spacious twin room which is served by a further private bathroom. The bright and comfortable living-dining-kitchen areas flow from one another, and again make the most of their direct access to the outdoor terrace. The living room is comfortably furnished with a sofa, dining table for 6, and features a satellite Tv (limited channels/news only). The kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven & hob, fridge freezer and is fully equipped. Air conditioning and internet Wi-Fi are available throughout the house. Within easy walking distance of San Lorenzo’s beach, Villa Nica is also halfway between the Vendicari nature reserve and the fishing village of Marzamemi. The location is ideal for exploring the south-east of Sicily, from Noto to Syracus and the baroque towns of the Val di Noto, to Taormina and Mount Etna’s Park. Security Deposit of €500, credit card hold, refunded 1 week after departure Local Tourist Tax per day - payable in cash upon arrival Late arrivals: 21:00-24:00, if agreed €30 on arrival Check-out: 08:00-10:00 The villa and pool is for your private use only as well as the garden. Bed linen & towels are provided as well as pool towels. The cleaner will come in during your stay & change them, depending on how many days you are staying. All of this is included in the price. A local contact is provided to you for any issues you may experience whilst in the villa, and we at Freelance Villas can be contacted via AirBnB messaging. Freelance Villas provides a Digital Guide Book, which tells you all about the important things ie. WiFi codes, hot water systems, where to take your rubbish & how things generally work in the villa. Plus, you will find further details about places to go, beach maps and eating out guide. Life in Marzamemi, one of Sicily‘s prettiest fishing villages, is centred around the horseshoe shaped harbour beside the 10C ‘tonnara’, built by the Arabs and now converted into a hotel. The tonnera was the reason for the towns conception and tuna dishes, as well as a wonderful variety of fresh sea food, still figure large on the menus of many of the little restaurants around the harbour close to our villas in Marzamemi. There’s a further choice of restaurants, bars and shops around Marzamemi’s square, Piazza Regina Margherita and a little exploration amongst the towns narrow and colourful streets will reveal the ruins of the Church of San Francesco di Paola. The town is also home to a film festival in late July, showing international contemporary and vintage films in open-air venues Just 1.5km North of Marzamemi is the stunning beach of Agua Lido with golden sands , beach beds, great restaurant and a selection of Marzamemi holiday villas- all you need.
