Holiday Home near Arbroath, sleeps 10 guests
Description
A large country house in the heart of the Angus countryside. Unwind, after a day in the great outdoors. If it's biking, walking or just spending time at the beach; Sma'hame is the perfect home away from home. Arbroath, Carnoustie, Forfar, Montrose are close by, also Dundee, St Andrews, Aberdeen, Edinburgh & Glasgow are easy day trips. With kitchen, 3 public rooms & 5 generous bedrooms +TVs it is spacious & homely. The cottage also boasts an extensive private garden with stunning rural views The space Located at the end of the farm drive, the cottage is peaceful and private. If you've been out walking the paths, cycling or paddling at the beach we've got a wash bay located right beside the cottage and plenty of space for storage of equipment. There is a decking area at the rear of the property, fully equipped with BBQ and outdoor tables and chairs, perfect for a summer's evening. With three public rooms as well as two kitchens there is no need to feel on top of each other. The property is also all on one level making it great for accessibility. The bathrooms however are just a tad too tight at the moment to make it wheelchair friendly - it is in our long term plans though. Guest access You will have access to the whole cottage and garden. Please be aware, the property is located on a working farm and while we would welcome you to walk around the fields and pathways we ask you to stay away from the farm buildings. Unless partaking in a supervised farm tour with one of our family. If you are looking for a smaller property - we can split it into a two bedroom & three bedroom home. Other things to note There is good 3G and 4G signal on all known mobile networks and Wifi is a rural connection (not fibre). Dogs are welcome, however please note we have sheep and ducks. Therefore they would need to be kept on a leash when out and about near livestock and throughout the farm yard. Other field areas and paths are suitable for dogs to be unleashed so long as they are controllable. The rear garden has gates and walls but I would not describe it as safely enclosed as most dogs I know would be able to jump the wall!!
