Scribbly Gums Berrara is a stylish, cosy sanctuary for those seeking comfort, calm, and connection with nature. Surrounded by the Australian bush and birdsong, you’ll find us on a quiet corner of sleepy Berrara, directly opposite Conjola National Park and a three minute walk to beautiful Cudmirrah Beach at the end of the street. Whether you’re after a romantic escape, a family getaway, or time with friends, our home offers space to slow down and relax, just 3 hours drive south of Sydney. The space The front of the house is the original 1950s cottage that is now made up of the kitchen, living and dining spaces. Charm from the original cottage has been taken through and given new life with the addition of 3 bedrooms, a study, two bathrooms and a laundry. Bedroom one has a Queen bed and it's own ensuite with separate bath and rain shower. Bedroom two has a queen bed and a lovely view of the garden. Luxury bedding from Microcloud and linen sheets make it hard to get up for those early morning beach walks... Bedroom three has two long singles and there is a bathroom right next to bedroom two for guests in bedrooms two and three to share which has a bath with overhead shower. The living and dining areas have french doors that open out to the north and to a covered patio with outdoor setting off the living area. It's beautiful to spend time out here, connected to the garden, reading the newspaper, enjoying meals with family and friends, drawing and painting and just watching the birds and the world go by. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you'll need to prepare beautiful meals including a Smeg freestanding oven and a dishwasher. Or if you find the washing up therapeutic, look out the window while washing up in the double ceramic farmhouse sink. The living area has a comfy lounge and there is ducted air conditioning throughout the house although you'll rarely need it. Recycled brick walls provide thermal mass that keeps the house cool in Summer and warm in Winter. One of the things we love most about the house is that you can see green from every window. You'll really feel immersed in nature not only looking outside the house but inside too with lots of nature inspired artwork to enjoy. We had a guest recently describe their arrival at Scribbly Gums as like "receiving one huge, warm cuddle". We loved this, it just describes perfectly our purpose for Scribbly Gums. A place that nurtures and restores and brings a feeling of peace and serenity to all who stay. Guest access There is space for two cars to park off the street in front of the garage on the concrete driveway.
