Matxiku Aurre is in Berastegi, 420 m above sea level, 1.5 km from the A15 motorway and 8 km from Leitza, both towns in the Leitzaran Protected Biotope with routes where you can enjoy nature. The house was refurbished in 2021 to make it as energy efficient as possible. We are in a rural setting, but Pamplona is 30 minutes away and San Sebastian 20 minutes away, well known cities with a great cultural, gastronomic and historical heritage and close to the Aralar Natural Park. The space The room is located in a house facing southwest, in Berastegi. The first news of the house dates back to 1542 but it has undergone various changes and renovations over the last 500 years. We have renovated the house in 2021 trying to make it as energy efficient as possible. In this reform we have undertaken various actions aimed at achieving energy efficiency, solar panels, new windows, smart thermostats per room, internet, etc.. The room is a suite (23m2), with full bathroom, terrace, very bright, desk with direct internet connection via fibre or wifi. The keyed entrance to the room is located 7 steps from the main door. Guest access The house is in the rural setting of Berastegi, a village of 1100 inhabitants in a flat valley that crosses the GI-2130 road from Tolosa (15') to Leiza, Navarra (10'), a village renowned for the beauty of its stone houses, location of some famous films of this century. The house is 200 m from the centre of the village and all services are available. Town hall, pelota court, restaurants, supermarket, public transport, chemist... From the house it is not necessary to use a vehicle, you can walk and you will not find big slopes.
