Bright suite with views of the Berastegi valley

In a house with almost 500 years of history — first mentioned in 1542 — we offer you a bright suite-style room with a balcony. You’ll wake up to views of the mountains and the river, in a house where we pay close attention to detail to ensure you feel well looked after from the very first moment. We’re in a rural setting but very well connected: Tolosa is 15' away, San Sebastián 20' and Pamplona 30', and we’re just a stone’s throw from the Leitzaran Protected Biotope and the Aralar Natural Park. The space The suite (23 m²) has a full bathroom, plenty of natural light and a balcony from which to enjoy views of the valley and the mountains. It has a separate entrance with a key, just 7 steps from the front door. It features a desk and a direct fibre-optic connection (130 Mbps Wi-Fi), ideal if you’re combining a getaway with remote working. In 2021, we renovated the house to maximise energy efficiency: solar panels, new windows and smart thermostats in every room. Guest access Berastegi is a village of 1,100 people in a flat valley, renowned for the beauty of its centuries-old stone houses. We are 200 metres from the centre and all the local amenities — the town hall, the pelota court, restaurants, a supermarket, a chemist’s and public transport — so you won’t need a car, and there are hardly any hills, making it easy to get around on foot or enjoy lovely walks through the valley. Other things to note Our house is situated in an area where the main language of communication (90 per cent) is Euskera, the ancient language of the Basques. Basque, also known as Euskera or Vascuence, is a pre-Indo-European language. It is the traditional language and has historically been the majority language among the Basques, with around 800,000 native speakers in 2025. It is the only isolated language in Europe and its exact origin remains a matter of debate.
