Get cozy in the first floor bedroom in our home with a beautiful view of the Fox River. Your bedroom has a queen bed, smart TV, and a shared bathroom. Cook a meal in our fully stocked kitchen, and enjoy the river view from the dining table or outside on the deck. We have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay! 1 mile to downtown Algonquin 10 minutes to Crystal Lake or Barrington 25 minutes to Elgin, Schaumburg 45 minutes to Lake Geneva, Wilmot The space Your bedroom is on the main floor with a shared bathroom. There are 2 small steps to get into the house. There is one parking space. You can see the river from your room, but you will enjoy the view much more from the kitchen or deck. We have a big, beautiful kitchen with lots of counter space and an island. The river-facing side of the house is all windows, ensuring a beautiful view from the dining area and kitchen, which is fully stocked with all the cooking supplies and amenities you need to make an amazing meal! We also have a grill right outside the kitchen. We ask that you use the kitchen no more than one hour per day. Additionally, if you use the kitchen during prime hours, you may have to share it with others. There is a TV in your bedroom, and we have subscriptions to a few streaming services, which may include Netflix, Prime Video, and possibly more. You can also log into your own subscriptions. Please ask ahead of time if you are counting on any specific subscription. You will have access to the laundry room 1-2 days per week. We have a washer and dryer, as well as iron and ironing board. Your nightly rate includes up to 3 quick or normal loads of laundry per week, including bedding. There is a schedule for all the members of the household. Laundry fee for more than 3 loads per week is $10 per load. Heavy duty loads (or cycles more than 90 minutes) are not allowed. Guest access You have access to your first-floor private bedroom and shared bath. The kitchen, dining area, laundry room, deck, and back yard are all shared spaces. Access to the living room is limited. During your stay We live in the house and frequently work from home. We are around most times if you need anything. Other things to note You are staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat the space and our things with respect. Please clean up your own messes in the kitchen, bathroom, and any other room during your stay. If you have any special requests, please let us know. We live in the house and will do our best to accommodate your needs. If there are any issues with your accommodations, please let us know and we will do our best to make yours a 5-star stay!
