My grandmother designed the cottage around a vintage house trailer (tiny house)1956. There are many unique and cleaver features. Family mementos through history are on display. The space Sit outside covered porch and deck. The house door code given the day of arrival. The main room (12 x 20) welcomes you to relax by the fireplace or look out the large picture windows. A sofa bed is placed in front of the fireplace. The tiny bright updated bathroom with sliding door. To the right of the entrance is the vintage house trailer. The beds a double and twin may be moved to allow for more floor space. The full galley kitchen with gas stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Pots and pans are in the drawers. Some basic spices. The small bedroom with bed may be closed off with sliding and swing doors. Windows open to allow fresh country air and a summer breeze. The laundry is in the basement: door is next to the desk, that a great grandfather made. My grandmother designed the space to display her beautiful dishes and collectibles . Guest access Door code will be given before arrival. Off street parking for two cars. Please drive slowly as the neighbors have young children, dogs and chickens. It is ok to take a walk down the road at the end of the property to observe the wildlife and birds. See if you can find the remains of the 1863 logging canal. Please be respectful of the land. The Old forest along the Allegany River is posted as private property. Warning: ticks with Lyme disease have been reported in the area year round. Planning a family reunion or gathering note there are three Airbnbs on the street Southern Exposure and Dewey’s house.
